This week's mailer from SSC is in and, yet again, no mention of the Wolf. So, another hi-res pic (that was previously available) to help ease the pain:

Here some video that I took from SDCC 2012

Not sure if it is the lighting or whatever but this video in my opinion is not really doing this $2000.00 Legendary scale Wolf Predator any justice. Either way the video is much appreciated.
Yes I have been fooled thinking something from Sideshow was going to look horrible (like the Undying Carcass)...in several videos he looked like a poorly done sculpt...I ordered him anyway and he is one of my favorites.

That is just an example at $2000.00 I am quite sure that this is going to be one bad ass looking Predator Sculpture for sure. I have actually managed to come up with most of the funds for this by selling off miscellaneous things I no longer need but now I am caught between either using the funds for this Legendary Scale Wolf Predator...or to put towards a new Mountain Bike. :lol Yes yes laugh it is kinda funny but I am moving back up North and God do I miss Mountain Biking it is my greatest passion besides collecting figures and sculpts.

I still think I will have quite some time to make my decision. Tell me my fellow collector's...which would be the wiser choice? An amazing large scale Predator (Wolf nonetheless :) )...or a nice new full suspension carbon frame Mountain Bike.
Well yes the obvious choice is definately the Wolf Predator.

Id pick what makes you happy.

Well...actually both would make me happy. After thinking it over I'm going with the Mountain Bike. I'm buying another Santa Cruz Nomad Carbon like I used to have.
Sorry for changing the subject but I will have one legendary scale Grimm Reaper, and another really large Ringwraith on Steed even though it is a PF still a nice size sculpt.
The only way I would order this Wolf Legendary Scale would be to cancel one of those 2 Sideshow Sculpts and that is not going to happen.
This will hardly compare but I went ahead and Pre-ordered the 1/5 scale Wolf Predator Ex. and from what I have seen this is one nice piece to have even only being 1/5 scale.
Still...later on down the road if the Wolf Legendary Scale Predator is still around say a year from now...I will definately be able to buy him heck maybe even just in 8 months from now.
From my understanding he is currently not a numbered piece but neither was the Grimm Reaper...and unless something has changed since the last time I checked the Reaper went from being an open edition to a rather small limited edition overnight...I'll just keep my fingers crossed that Sideshow will keep the LS Wolf Predator as an open edition at least for another 8 months. Man I want that sculpt but again it's time I got my wheels rolling again and I really would love to have the same bike I used to ride back in my life.
Either way everything is cool I am spoiled with quite a large amount of Sideshow PF's and 1/6 scale Hot Toys figures. Pretty soon after I receive all my Pre-Orders from Sideshow by the end of this year to early next year I could probably set up a mini museum in my house and charge people for tours, lol...at least that is how my collection room is starting to look like.

I am in the same boat as you. I was really happy when I saw the 1/5 statue and even though its not as nice as the LSF...I will be happy with it. Its still a good sculpt and has a super awesome head sculpt. I have the money for the LSF but there is other things "Non collectible" items, that I would rather have instead. Should have been $1200 from the start. What confuses me is them putting a low ES on the reaper. Makes me wonder if they really have sold many LSF as everyone on here seems to believe they have already sold like 1000. I am thinking they haven't sold many. I could be wrong but just is a little weird.

If this had an edition size of 300 like the Reaper it would be sold out by now.

He's not. The guy admits to only owning a handful of sideshow items, but acts like he knows everything about anything sideshow

I noticed that before when this guy jumped down my throat a while back when I said basically that I did not think many units would sell of the statue. Seems I was right and I find it hard to believe that it sold over a few hundred up to this point.

You guys have to calm down with the personal attacks on the site, you can bash my posts but don't insult me, show some class.

I think alot of it has to do with being really uptight because of how expensive these beautiful sculptures are and with the economy being at an all time low it can be quite stressful trying to acquire funds for these amazing sculpts. It just gets really frustrating and I believe this can cause many to kinda get upset over nonsense. (BTW I am not taking sides with anyone here just my opinion). I also realize I am probably not making much sense but I know me personally wanting a particular Sideshow/ Hot Toy figure and worrying about one of them selling out before I can get the funds together it does frustrate me. So when I see a post saying a particular sculpt will be open edition and will not sell out for years...I get relief from that...just to find out right after that this particular sculpt (not referring to the Wolf Predator) is now numbered...well that will aggravate me.
I always have been really good at holding in my emotions and also not jumping the gun and *****ing someone out because they were incorrect...I guess many do not possess this ability as strongly as I. :)

Just my 2 cents...

The problem is that people get angry over statues, yes, statues.
