The Hot Toys Hulk looks pretty good, but I thought it was always going to be hard making him look "realistic" anyway. As a character, the Hulk kind of looks like a big toy. Exaggerated muscle scale, green, and a comic book expression. That's why he never seem to look all that "real" in the movies. So as a figure, no matter how much detail you give him, he is still going to register like a big toy, even when you compare him to other Hulk figures like we've been seeing on this thread. There's only so much you can do with that concept and the rest you have to suspend your disbelief to buy into it. I think the same rule applies for this Hot Toys figure. I'm not going to invest in him because of that translation problem. I like to get Hot Toys figures that are real conversation pieces, because they look realistic. This looks like it belongs next to a Power Ranger in a kids room. It just doesn't have "collector" stamped on it. Of course it certainly has that collector price tag.

SERIOUSLY in some of those photos he looks cross-eyed a bit.

Well I looked at the hi-res pictures at Hot Toys Japan and that's not a tear at the elbow, it's moulded to look like folds of skin, much like what people get over the elbow joint.

Even if the arms are PVC their is barely any movement in the arms

This is an amazing figure. I love it and can't wait to pre-order.

I would have liked a second HS, but I love the one thats included.

As far as the arms, some have posted a quote from someone stating its NOT RUBBER, but a soft PVC. I'm curious to know the difference.

If this thing is over $200 it's an easy pass!
It comes with switch out hands and that's it!
I know it's a one of a kind body but they're crazy if it's priced high!

$350 with shipping at E-bay!

Which makes them pointless, they should have either been fixed or had joints. Hot Toys went for number three, which was the worst option.

They went with option three to appease BOTH the statue crowd and the articulated crowd and the end not making either crowd happy.

I think depending on the initial price, this will be a big regret if passed. it's the best 1/6 hulk we'll probably ever get. And if you pass you may end up hoping for an avengers 2 hulk.

I think it is pretty reasonable to expect a LOT of these to be made considering they had to design and produce it from the ground up. This thing will be available for long time.

From that official photo, I rather suspect that the 'partially bent arm' is a straight as it is going to get.

Also, not too sure about his 'booby-hands' either...

know what I mean..?

If theres a joint in there, you can be sure the rubber/PVC will be able to get to a full straightened out look. I havent seen any release with a rubber arm that doesnt that a straight arm joint.

And if you're toys are getting a LOT of on skin contact, take some time away from the hobby!

I don't molest my figures, if that's what you do to yours you do it on your own time mate.
Flexible PVCs are known to leak plasticizers into the air and that's why a lot of car companys have dropped flexible PVC from their car interiors. I'm only reiterating proven concerns, get your facts straight before cracking wise smart-arse.

I will get this just to complete my Avengers team, but the lack of articulation and accessories is very disappointing. I hope HT don't overcharge us for pretty much a extra large TT body with a pair of hands.

IMO this should be cheaper than Jake Sully as that has a light-up stand, finely detailed paint and clothing parts, real-like hair and weapons

I guess I don't care about the lack of accessories and the price as long as the body and arms will hold up for a long time. Only thing I care about.

My only issue with Hulk (without micro nitpicking, which I don't care to do) is the durability of those arms over several years. I don't want to feel like purchasing it is a gamble, but I do.
