so whats wrong with DPMS?

:dunno I've never had any bad experiences with them, but then again I've only fired two at the range. I think it they're fine as good entry level rifles to plink away with, but if someone is thinking about entering some 3 gun competitions they're going to need something else. Stag has a model tailored specifically for these shooting events.

I had never heard of a 3 gun competition before and just googled it. They look pretty cool. Might have to try something like that out sometime down the line.

I plan on picking up a 10/22 at the gun show this weekend myself.

Didn't really think I'd want a .22 again but between spending hours at the outdoor range and my daughter being eager to shoot more often I figure it's a nice low recoil/cheap round for her to plink with.

My neighbor got me into it. Very fun, and it shows you exactly where you stand with your skillset. Shooting at stationary targets is fine, but when you introduce safely holstering your weapon, transitioning to the next target, safely drawing your weapon, and using fundamentals to place rounds on target....while being timed. Then you got yourself some fun.

Mine wants the green laminate. She's not into pink for some reason. Saw one at the last gun show for $325 or $350. I don't think that's a terrible price.
