Re: Hot Toys The Dark Knight Rises - Catwoman/Selina Kyle

I'm hoping this is revealed this Friday. I can't wait to see what's next for this line. I'm really curious as to what the packout is going to be with Catwoman, I hope they include a second outfit. Although.. she's definitely going on on the Batpod for awhile, lol.

bruce wayne with the beard with a rope and supplies needs to come out .

The price point on Bane here is $150.00 as is Catwoman if you pre-order. Can't see it getting any higher upon release.

Regardless of what was said and/or who took offense, Selina did have a purse. :lol

(actually, that's probably a carry-on, but she did have a clutch in the bar scene and on her way to the masked ball)

I would love to have it too, along with the whole outfit. I really hope we see this in the future.

I can see how some would have this opinion, but while I'm one of those who dislikes the 'real' hair (on all HT females so far to be honest) - it's not because of the Barbie thing. If it looked right, & held it's shape well over time.. I'd likely be fine with it.

I just don't like the way it looks - period, for starters. It has a straw-like wiry quality, for lack of a better description - give or take, depending on the character / figure in question. To be fair though, it's damn hard to replicate a real head of human hair that way, so I applaud them for trying at least.

Secondly - longevity. I just don't see it looking great over time. :huh

:lecture:goodpost::exactly:. The whole "it looks like a Barbie" thing has nothing to do with why I dislike "real" hair on female figures (or any figure), I dislike it for the same reasons you stated above. I also think "real" hair on the female figures looks a bit odd when standing next to the male figures with sculpted hair. But thats just me I suppose.

I think with Hathaway's long and straight look in TDKR, doll hair works well - especially with the mask and goggles holding it in place. The problems with doll hair occur with looks like the IM2 and Avengers BW figs.

You can put styling cream on it, they make some specifically for doll hair.

That helps to keep it down and stay in place, just like the guys.

They have a really good one at volksusa.com, and it's water-based so it doesn't damage the plastic over time.
