and become pretty boring and pose limiting

Probably, just talking in terms of likeness though.

The eye position is not nearly as important to Bale's Batman performance though which is why I think either HT should give him PERs with squinty eyes (even if the range of eye poses is limited by the squint), or get rid of PERs altogether for Bale Bats

Tell that to Keaton Bats.

And Sparrow

Oh completely agreed, I've never had a problem with pers, and on those 2 you mentioned, it looks amazing and adds to the figure, which is why I can't understand how it always looks poor on Bale Batman figures. I guess the majority of us just picture bale bats in our mind as having really hard to notice eyes.

We were never up in arms demanding googly eyed figures before, but now we have had it we cannot possibly imagine figures presented with it without it....even if they would be better for the loss. :lol

I'm a fan of PERS so I'd hate for them to get rid of it, but I don't think squinted eyes would limit the figure either. I remember MRM sculpted the squinty eyelids on his DX02 and it looked pretty good

Is love to see mrm's mod!

best pics I could find in his old thread:

Sculpted the eyelids closed a little more so his eyes aren't so big.

We all failed to see a likeness in the DX 12 shots too but the toy hunters display pictures look a lot better. I'm still waiting to see better in hand shots of this, no offence to the people who took these photos of course.

We didn't fail on see the likeness on the DX12, the DX12 failed on likeness :slap ..

And of course he looks better on blurry and far away pictures..

The proportions and spacing isn't there. They need to fix this because I want the TDK suit too. HT got lazy and just scaled up 1/6 DX12. They didn't redo a lot of stuff for 1/4 scale outside of the BW head.

Disagree. A lot of Keaton's attitude come through where his eyes are looking. The PERS lookss perfect on this figure.

This. Plus you can't even move the head on the Keaton figure. PERS are absolutely necessary and it looks incredibly lifelike. Sadly, HT can't seem to consistently make this happen.

I'd say the proportions are the one thing that benefitted from the larger scale. Can't stand the way the TDK/TDKR suit looks on smaller figures. Too much chub and the midsection sticks out on the sides as if it has love handles.

Awkward torso chub is gone with the scale-up. :yess:

There just isn't much extra details for this 1/4 in those pictures or Anicom shots to prove it. It really feels like a cop out because 1/4 has so much more canvas to put in more details. The armor plates should look more sculpted and the mouth area shouldn't look so small compared to the rest of the head.

The chin looks like it's sticking inside too much compared to how it is when CB was doing his scenes in the suit.
