Well the abs just look nonsensical. Usually you can just assume these superheroes work out all day, but in this case it just looks to be in poor taste. Looks like he's been hanging out with Kenshiro too much.

I think the statue will look significantly better in person in a somewhat dimly lit room though. Imagine how the gloss paint will look with the base lit up in a display case. It should be much more impressive, but even then it won't really fit in with the other releases.

As much as my love for Green Lantern has me wanting to disagree with you I can't.

The Musculature on his upper arms and legs is off. The metallic gloss paint works on the green but not the black. The hand and forearms seem weird. His head sits on the neck strangely and it isn't helped by the fact that it looks like his neck gets oddly thicker as it moves towards the trapezius muscles.

Everyone doesn't like the abs but I can easily write that off as comic book over exaggerated anatomy and I love the light up base.

I was really hoping for much more after seeing Superman and Batman.

I've been trying not to sound like a whiny jerk, at least until the official SS pics are shown during the PO. And with all that, I'm still on the fence.

Why don't we all email Sideshow or post on their Question/Ask section to get them fix the abnormal abs and glossy black paint? If they fix those, this piece will be fantastic as Batsy/Supes!

I am a huge GL fan and have been waiting for this PF. I have looked and looked at this and there are just too many things that I do not like. I really hope that SSC listens and they make some changes. I do not think this will sell well as is.

This is my story exactly.

Green Lantern is my favorite book at DC and this was the statue I was looking forward to the most.

Every DC Statue SSC produced has been amazing so far but this GL statue...don't get me wrong, its good, but it needs some improvements

This is, by far, the biggest problem with the statue.

The other two JLA members are beautifully sculpted and feature a great mix of mixed media and sculpted parts. This, however, being all sculpted, is just out of place.

It won't sell well, and hopefully all of the criticism in this thread will lead to Sideshow not releasing this as is.

As someone else mentioned, use the faux leather used on the Bucky Barnes PF for the black area, tone down the abs, and you've already improved it 100%.

wise words. they pulled the indy statue from the show. they should have done the same with this and started from scratch.

I could see that, especially when I look at how the muscles in the legs are sculpted.

we can all vote now in the GL needs to be fixed yes/no thread.Perhaps SS will actually read some of our concerns and work on GL.So he will fit in more nicely with the other DC PF's.

I can understand people being upset when placed next to Superman and Batman. But as a stand alone piece, Im loving it.
