I try not to collect many Film Actor looking related Figures.I Have the original Hulk PF and will PO the Incredible Hulk Maquette.Because the Hulk has always been my favorite Marvel Character.

The nice thing about this Hulk Maquette is you can see a little of the actor Mark Ruffalo in it.But when you look at this Figure you see the Hulk.

Just look at these Hulk photo's from the Con and the PO can't come up soon enough.Hulk Fans Dream.:yess:

No! Nothing will beat the original Hulk. It's sculpt, weight & color is far superior to the maquette.
You forgot to add that little "In my opinion / I Think" at the beginning of that sentence. Because, you know, I for one prefer this sculpt, couldn't care less about weight (which defies it being any 'better') and I think it happens to have a great color, too. Or at least I don't consider it "far inferior". But you won't see me saying that its sculpt, weight and color are far superior to the PF.

Plus comic version always wins out against movie statues.
That's another groundless statement. Yesterday I read someone else going as far as to say that it was "a fact", no less. I had to roll out my eyes. You prefer comic versions and let's leave it at that. I do, too - heck, I bet most of us here do, but that's not the question. What if we all stop being so nerdish? :)

Personal preference!
If we all liked the same things the world would be a boring place.

No, you fool - don't you know it's a scientific FACT that comic > movie?

- Oh, but I actually like the Mark VI Maquette much better than the silly, boring flag Comiq-

- Shut up, you HERETIC!

Love the detail work on the features. I hope the production pieces come out the same.

They won't.

The quality is amazing. One can only hope that what we get when it ships.

Again, it won't. The sooner we get that into our heads, the better.

I don't like movie versions but this one is too good, plus its close enough to what's seen in the comics.

I've been saying this ever since we first saw that vid of this piece - I don't own the Hulk PF and I want the character in my collection. When I have this Maquette in my room, I'll have Hulk at last, period. No "oh, but it's a movie version" nonsense whatsoever. That's Hulk. That's a huge green guy with torn pants and that's that. Just-like-in-comics. Oh, and it hopefully will have an awesomely detailed and lifelike head sculpt, too. I actually wish I could say the same about all my other pieces.

It doesnt matter what is the best one. Within 5 years some of us, including me, will own the most fantastic LSF HULK. And he will OWN all of the other Hulk statues.

Dont try to argue with me about this, u know its true...

WTF?! Who are you calling a fool?
Your response to my quote didn't even relate to what I said.

That's the thing - why has there to be a best one? Why some PF owners seem to be threatened by the new one?

Lol, please read my post carefully. I'm on your side, Collectorcol - I was just being sarcastic and making fun of some people's attitudes. ;-)

Spoke with a friend who just returned from the SDCC and he confirmed that after a brief convo with one of the sideshow reps, the hulk will be available for Pre order at the beginning of August! I hope everyone's got some spare cash left over! :yess:

I think all those oldschool posers blow the movie vs comic statues way out of proportion. All those movie statues very well represent the hero characters, who cares if the head looks like an actor or not. Anyone who looks at the statue know exactly who they are instantly.

With the exception of capt america (just because the old version is pure win), all the movie statues look so much better than their comic counterparts.

I hate the comic thor pf armor looks like a WWF wrestler, and dont even mention the classic ironman girly tights(that suppose to be armor?), hulk looks like inhuman ape with a horrible sulking pose, no rage. Capt america is the only good one from that bunch.

So glad they made the modern version. :lol at all the comic>movie

Lol, you're actually blowing this out of proportion with your post lol. Movie, Comic, everyone has different tastes, no need to say which is factually better.

The iron man maquette looks great. But the comic pieces are far superior in every way IMO. There are people who connect more with the movie versions because they don't or didnt read alot of comics and that's cool.... but a great deal of the hate or new vs old comes from the fact that new collecters missed out on the old great pieces and simply can't afford or don't want to pay market price for them.. so they hate and compare instead of saying both are great.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you here. I got into statues after all the old grails were sold out and I think the original statues are better for the most part. In my case it's personal preference on a character to character basis. I like the IM 2 maquettes more than the original comiquette so I got those. Comic Cap PF is FAR better than the movie PF so i got that. I think the comic Thor PF is way more impressive than the new movie version. I am really happy about the hulk maquette because I prefer the look to the original one and it won't cost 2k to get it. If they ever make a movie hawkeye I would just buy the comic version.

Comics version is the source. It's the reason why there are movies. None of these movies were around when I was a kid (I am 35 years old now).

No way I am spending this type of money for stuff that I have no childhood connection to just because a movie looks cool.

Comics version FTW!

not true for me, i just like the new one better except capt america.

well actually i think we agree more than disagree, the only difference is you like comic thor pf and i like the modern version. Everything else is the same :)

comic is the source, movie is what made them popular. Want proof? 20 years ago if you compare superman vs ironman's popularity people think you are retarded.

Now? ironman is more popular than superman. What has changed? Movies.

:slap Ah, I get it!
It's been a long day. :wink1:

Hehe.

It makes people think they're the dork from ANOES part 3?

Hmm... haven't seen it since it premiered and I remember nothing. That's homework for me.

And please let's drop the "movie vs comic" issue, that's just what I was saying. People who like me grew up with comics will always prefer the comic version when given the choice. That doesn't mean that a) other people can't have a preference for movie versions without being touted as poseurs (I swear there's some embarrassing puerile s____t going on around here sometimes); b) a particular movie version can't come along that kicks ass regardless of what it's based on. (Which, granted, is not often imo, lol.)

Categoric statements that something is better than the other are just silly and pointless. Er, in my opinion, obviously, lol.
