The sideshow one on the left looks awesome!!!! Whoa, wait?!?!? JK

One thing this forum is missing is simply a place to click that can thank people for a funny post- (and another place to click to say thank you for the post). Other forums have these things and it is a great way to acknowledge good or funny posts.

Anyway- yea- my pictures don't do the differences and improvements of sideshow over Hasbro justice- but still again I did wrestle with if upgrading would be worth it (understanding this is of course a personal judgement).

I have to say that for the price (especially when bought retail when it first came out like I did) this Hasbro figure was pretty darn good.

:slap

Well, IMHO, they are night and day. But its your money so its up to you to decide if you are satisfied with what you bought.

I'm happy with the purchase- I just want to fix a few things that I think are very fixable from what I see others doing. My Hasbro has been a great place holder, but it's no longer on the shelf.

I agree...I mean, the Hasbro ones are really dated now, but for $20-$40 buck range, they were ok, and the one Jango Fett Deluxe one they did actually is pretty kickass!

Nice pic, btw - no joke - really dig it and you all have me pumped to get mine (finally)!!!

Yeah, comparing the Hasbro and Sideshow figure is apples and oranges. For the price the Hasbro's are quite good... but they are a completely different item from a new Sideshow figure.

Although, having said that I've always disliked the Hasbro figures so even when they were the only game in town I never bought any. I just never wanted to display anything that crummy looking :lol

Yea, I have that Jango too- but I am waiting to see what Sideshow does with Jango and my Hasbro Jango could easily be replaced too.

In the meantime I am waiting for the Hot Toys Bespin Luke so I can retire my Sideshow one.

I have a few and what I do like about them is that I was able to pass them on to my kids and actually let them play with them. But the Boba Fett and Jango Fett were the only one I had on my shelf in many years.

You, me, and the rest of the board here too, I'm sure. Can't believe HT didn't bring him to SDCC!

I am worried HT is trying to "fix" him. I don't mind if they make improvements from the prototype but I worry I also could not like it as much- and I pre-orderd based on what I saw in the prototype. oh well- a discussion for a different thread.

I am sure others here may not agree, but from my limited experience with HT - their fixes seem to truly address minor issues.....
Something tells me HT wants their first Star Wars item to be perfect in every way

I just got my Sideshow Boba Fett and I unboxed him and replaced my Hasbro VOTC with him. I didn't spend a lot of time posing him or fiddling with the details (I haven't even unpacked the stand yet) but I thought I would post a comparison shot. I was hesitant to get the sideshow figure because I thought the Hasbro one I had we really good for the price, but I couldn't help wanting to upgrade. What do you think- was it worth it?

I like the helmet, the materials of the costume and the details a lot better on the sideshow figure, but I am following the various custom fixes people are doing and plan on doing some myself later on.

Honestly the "boxiness" of the vest does not bother me as much as the fact that you can see the edge of the plastic piece underneath creating a slight crease and "corner" on the side of the vest.

The other thing I want to fix is that I think the piece of armor that goes around the neck is to far forward and should not be touching the green pieces of chest armor connected to the vest. Has anyone been able to adjust this?

That was one of the things that I was gonna work on this weekend. I was going to use a dremel to make the screw holes in the back armor more like this 0 instead of this o, which will lower the jet pack slightly and hopefully move the collar armor up from the chest pieces. I'm gonna post some pics in the Boba Mod/custon thread Monday.

Exactly, they are good toys and were made so kids could play with them but not destroy them in 5 minutes. The Sideshow Boba would be broken all to hell if you gave to a kid to play with :lol

Heck I'm worried I'll break something off just handling him :lol

thank you thank you toy anxiety got my replacement jetpack just in case sideshow don't replace my defective one ...I'm sure they will but at least I'll have a spare iwhile i wait for my sideshow replacement jetpack ......

Got mine this afternoon! Shipped on Monday and delivered on Friday, not bad for International delivery.

Want to do a gloss clear coat over the visor, but it doesn't look removable despite being a separate mold piece.

First impressions are that the green on the armor plate is still a tad light for my personal preference, but it looks better when under low lighting conditions. And the orange on the base is so dull!

The gauntlets look great though, and the wired drape is awesome. I'll let his Clone Buddies give him a bit of a make-over before I take some proper pics though.

MY last exclusive stands all have had the sideshow paint come off over time with paint ending up on the figures bottom boot....examples luke's 30th aniversary stand and my smuggler exclusive han....I wonder how this fett exclusive stand will hold up after useage ?

I've had this happen with both my Palpitine/sidious stand and the stormies. I just went through and unstuck everyones feet. Vader was stuck as well. Fortunately only sidious had any damage, the star wars logo is a little smeary now. I'm debating just ordering some generic stands and using thouse to save my logo's, but it seems a waste. I was going to have my vader one signed, having second thoughts there now though. (David Prowse is at Fan expo in TO this summer)

I did a few mods to this and holy F___ it was a lot of work but I'm really loving this thing.

GREAT PICS!! Very creative. I would've LOVED more light on the figures from the from, though. They're getting silhouetted by the sun. Thanks for sharing!
