New Star Wars Hot Toys?

Only do-overs I want are Jedi Luke, ROTS Anakin, ANH or ESB Solo, and ANH Leia. I'm happy with the rest of the SS humans.

I'd go nuts over a HT Darth Maul, he's probably my favorite Sith. I'm pretty excited to see SS Cyborg Maul though. It'll be years before we even have a chance at HT Darth Maul it seems like.

I would PT Obi-Wan first, but I don't consider a SW collection complete without ANH Obi-Wan.

That's cool if you're happy with SS Lando, I just prefer something as lifelike as possible when it comes to 1/6 scale.

But, I'm a sucker for consistency, and besides the three Darth Vaders, those nine figures (Senator Leia, Tatooine Luke, Smuggler Han, Ben, Hoth Leia, Bespin Han/Luke, Lando, Jedi Luke) are the heart of my Star Wars collection. All that's missing after that are Chewie and the droids.

I'm pretty selective with what I buy, and the paint on SS figures is much better now than it was in 2010. I also said "as possible", which to me means if a better version is possible I'd rather have that. SS Lando isn't a bad figure, it's a great sculpt, but why can't I want a better figure? The only SS Joes I own are Zartan, and Duke's head which I'm having repainted. I don't own any other SS figures, just Hot Toys. So....

Reading back through the thread, it looks like HT did not specify which version of Anakin they'd be making. Everyone's just hoping it'll be ROTS and I'm guessing that makes the most sense as that's the most palatable version.

I was thinking AOTC Anakin as aside from Solo and Anakin, they advised that they'd be making a character from Episode II, which most are guessing will be Padme (SSC already advising that they'll be doing Dooku).

Thanks Invictus, that sounds right. I hope regardless of what they show at SDCC they give us some answers. Hot Toys really needs to step up in that regard, everything is so cryptic and uncertain. ROTS Anakin would be great paired with Dooku, so if that's what SS and HT are thinking then it makes sense to release him after Han Solo. I'm just impatient.

EVILFACE, we seem to butt heads a bit, I'm an odd person I'll admit that. I get excited about things and I think that excited is misinterpreted sometimes. I just want my figures to mesh as well with each other as possible.

Yeah, as far ANH goes Obi-Wan is my main want, but Luke isn't far behind. He's so different in that film compared to the other two, and the outfits are so iconic. Then again, every Luke outfit is iconic, lol.

Everyone is assuming ROTS Anakin because he's the only Anakin Sideshow has previously made. As far as an AOTC Anakin, that's a real stretch because he's yet to be done by Sideshow.

Remember that HT will only be doing figures SS has already tackled.

Yeah, I'd buy both of those in a heartbeat if HT made them, but that wouldn't be my first choice of Leia. Though it would make a cool DX two pack, her bounty hunter disguise and slave version. If they did Obi-Wan they would have to do a force spirit version, I mean, that's almost more important than the living version.

That's what I thought, when Invictus said AOTC that threw me off, as he seems to really know his stuff. ROTS Anakin is the definitive version imo.

This will probably be misinterpreted (I'm not trying to be impolite), but where was it said that Han was coming next? Is that just assumption? Also, I don't see why it would be one figure a year, I think it's just Luke this year for various reasons. Who knows though, Hot Toys don't exactly keep us in the loop very well.

Actually Howard Chan mentioned in a interview that Anakin and Han are next followed by an Episode II character. And so them mentioning a seperate Episode II character Im going to assume that Anakin will not be Episode II, but III. Unless they do a two pack with both.

Pretty sure HT said specifically that Han would be next, followed by AOTC Anakin (forget if this was announced during an interview or via FB, but someone will know).

As far as ANH goes, I'd definitely be interested in Obi-Wan and to a lesser degree Luke, Han and maybe Leia. Really don't want multiple iterations of the last three as I find the Empire versions to be definitive but might not be able to do without those classic versions, either.
