Looks great. So is this thing ready to go? On their website it says pre-order - June 2012. I'm just wondering if they will begin shipping immediately, or will it be a few months until we get them?

At this point, when many collectors prefer more realism, Enterbay should give two versions of the figure. One plastic body and one rubber body. Rubber may not work well in 1/6 but in 1/4 it should be more durable.
I tho most collectors are fear the rubber bodys cuz there's so many crying about deterioration...
This is HD line, right? They can just make a statue version.

I think the reason for listing that date is to make the point that if you wait until July, the price goes up $20.
:exactly:

Looks excellent, and while I don't mind joints on 1/6 scale figures, I'm inclined to agree with Bezz here. At this size, it's gonna be hard to ignore those joints.
That's the main issue I have with it. The T-800 is perfect because they are covered, with this, it takes the museum quality away from it a bit for me. I'm not sure though I still like it, especially the headsculpt.

It would be great figure at 1/6, but at 1/4 it just doesn't excite me very much. I'll never understand why E isn't releasing this in 1/6... The joints look ugly and will really stand out at 1/4 scale, too. It looks as though they have copied a HT True Type but with more limited arm articulation. I think the weapons and head sculpt are the best thing about this, but even then...the sculpt looks a bit silly with sculpted plastic hair. They really should have created an effect with rooted and bonded nylon hair or something similar. That would have been a huge leap forward if they could have pulled something like that off. Paying $400 for this just sends E the wrong message, I think. I really expect something better than an enlarged 1/6 figure at this scale...

I'm really annoyed that this is the same price as T-800 was, included shipping. That means that the packaging change only served to save Enterbay a bunch of money, but none at all saved for the consumer. Really makes him look like a ****** for bragging about the cost savings.

So, yeah, we're essentially paying for something we're not getting (full custom packaging). Bad, bad form.

Bill says it costs $2280 HKD = $298.86 USD at the current exchange rate... Wonder why it costs so much more on the Enterbay site? EMS shipping??

:goodpost::exactly: I think 1/4 deserves more than this. I'm looking forward to seeing what HT does with their 1/4 Dutch, Terminator and Predator line.

399 dollars!!!:gah: Thanks for saving us shipping EB :lol

They probably did, the accessories are more intricate overall than T-800, plus the torso and arms received a detailed paint job that the T-800 didn't and you have a torso that can only be used for this figure. Rambo costs same as T-800 just about and has more work put into the figure itself.

Nope. Cost-profit wise, they obviously have a higher margin on this one, plain and simple.

Also, Bill bragged about packaging and shipping savings... and all of the savings were for him, not us.

T-800 was $399 shipped from EB. This should be less than that, period.

Another home run for EB! This looks unbelievable! :panic::panic::panic:

They sure did.

Exactly. And regarding shipping, it's a "Global" compromise. It costs $100- $150 bucks for them to ship this to Brazil, where I'm living right now, depending how fast they send it. The T-800 I ordered direct from them arrived here in 5 days. So in the end, it's a $250 figure for me, not bad at all.

Can anyone that reads Chinese explain exactly what it says on Bills blog?

https://www.weibo.com/enterbaybill

He seems to be saying that the mainland China price for this figure is $2280 HKD ($298.86 USD at the current exchange rate).

I wonder why it costs so much more on the Enterbay site? Surely the difference isn't because it has the EMS shipping cost incorporated into the price.

Unfortunately, I think that's true. But I may not be willing to buy for that reason. . .having said that, a 1/4 scale Rocky would be damn hard to pass up.

A 1/4 scale Rocky would have even more joints showing(knees), and no "accessory" to hide/mask them

This one have 5 joints showing(there's a watch covering the left wrist). You could place the bags/AK over the shoulders and eliminate visually both of them. And depending how you pose it, you could make it looks pretty good without the joints being that visible on the elbows. A small place of cloth could be used on his right wrist joint. Works for me, and that's coming from a guy that HATES joints, in any figure. In fact, this will be my first figure that have joints exposed.

Don't mind the joints and have no issues with the figure itself. I do not, however, like feeling I'm being ripped off.

Holding off on ordering.

So, you don't have any figures then... :lol
