I'm amazed Lucas hasn't stepped into this. This isn't a 8 dollar hasbro figure..it's a 1000 dollar collectible. Any communication over the 2 year delay would be welcome. :slap. I have a hunch that EFX thinks they are better/bigger/more important than all of us and owe us no explanations at all.

I get that impression, too. Though TK1701 was helpful in that thread and said he wasn't trying to be glib, he did say if you don't like it, go start your own company and see if you can do better. :/ If there's anything that really makes me want to rage at a company, it's when I see either that kind of response or 'don't like it, don't buy it'. They really should care a lot more as there is a very limited number of people, even for Star Wars, that have the passion for the franchise and the means to pay $1k+ for props and replicas.

By the way, VASith, sorry for your losses over the last couple of years and congratulations on your little one on the way.

Thanks for the well wishes. :hi5:

I'm annoyed by that response as well. I paid a company a grand to provide something. If they are 2 years late on an item they owe, at a minimum some sort of explanation. I love how we are attacked on the scum forum for asking for the bare minimum. You do not create repeat customers by treating them this way. Girl scout troopers have better customer service than this company. It is complete failure in terms of a business model...an epic failure.

I don't think it'll be long before they do. This criticism across the net is insane and ruining the Star Wars branding on props.

This is simply the quote I put up over at Rebelscum and keeps getting ignored:

WIKIPEDIA:

"Customer service is the provision of service to customers before, during and after a purchase."

"Customer service plays an important role in an organization's ability to generate income and revenue.[3] From that perspective, customer service should be included as part of an overall approach to systematic improvement. A customer service experience can change the entire perception a customer has of the organization."

This is why I've given up EFX years ago... they are slow to no to reply, and everything they make get's delayed of takes years to finish.. sometimes they just drop the project altogether..

Hope all works out guys and you get the collectible YOU deserve!!!

That TK1701 guy has an online shop as well, the one eFX made the Shadow Stormtrooper helmet Exclusive for. ;) He is a very "nice" guy, I know from my own experience when I wanted to order that Shadow helmet, long story - glad I didn't and then I went even deeper in to the fan made realm of accurate unlicensed helmets, I don't miss that Shadow helmet at all now, I learned a lot in the meantime. Not sure why eFX is surrounded by "nice" guys. I miss Amy from MR, she was great at customer service.

What eFX has said in the past is, "If you don't hear an update, then there is no update to give." But, how can there be NO update or hardly a peep after 2 years? If there is a problem or a holdup, they could at least say-so.

If there's a reason, thats ok. We understand.

VASith, Lucas doesn't care anymore as long as the $$$ keeps coming in.

But delays this significant will maybe make LF hesitate in the future in regards to new products/approval.

By the way, since you mentioned you're using a mechanical keyboard, do you mind if I ask what brand you picked-up? Looking at DECK's, myself.

Don't laugh but I went mainstream and picked up a Razer Black Widow Ultimate. I wanted something fairly inexpensive with backlighting AND either Blue, Red or Black Cherry MX switches andddd I had an Amazon gift card haha. But I've heard a lot of great things about DECK's and I've heard that the Mionix Zibal 60 (unknown but loved) is supposed to be a fantastic keyboard. I love my Razer and I'm quite happy with my purchase but I would love to try out something with Cherry Blacks or Reds. You probably already know all about this stuff but here's a good article talking about the different switches with animations: https://www.overclock.net/t/491752/mechanical-keyboard-guide#post_6009482

I'm actually new to mechanical keyboards myself and have done some reading but that's a handy link, thanks! Nothing wrong at all with Razor, either, IMO. Love that wireless Black Mamba mouse of theirs and will be picking one up. Thanks again for the link, ComedicHistorian.

Hahah I actually bought the Mamba a few months ago and I adore it. It's an absolutely gorgeous mouse and the ergonomics are wonderful as well! I bought the older version though as the new one had yet to be released but I've heard they've taken care of the issues people were complaining about. I really wish I could change the colors on mine, I'm a sucker for cheesy gimmicks like that lol. Oh and the "stealth" edition of the black widow (only available on Razer's site) uses the MX Brown switches and has a matte black finish. If I could have bought that on Amazon I probably would have. Good luck with your search my friend!

Edit: I probably should have messaged you that instead seeing that this is a thread about eFX's TIE but I figured it would bump it and continue to remind people the eFX needs to step up their! Maybe by bumping it somebody will be re-annoyed, e-mail eFX and be the straw the breaks the camel's back, they'll say screw it and bring production to a larger factory, begin pumping out more products, in turn developing new and more ambitious projects and I'll finally get my licensed Boushh helmet!

I just dont get why is it SO DIFFICULT to get star war vehicle license, those are very much in demand and go for big $$. Yet MR went bankrupt, code 3 got their license pulled, and all we have now is some garage shop that has no clue how to run a business professionally.

Why isnt sideshow/qmx getting star war vehicle license? i imagine they can get any license they want to. The code 3 take on star war vehicle is perfect - not studio scale but also a lot cheaper for mass appeal. Accuracy may not be 100% on all the pieces, but every piece was top notch, especially the x-wing amazing!

Why did they stop making star wars vehicles :( all they make is fire trucks now wtf...

The Code 3 pieces were really cool for what they are. They were made of metal, with moving parts, and some panels could be removed to see interior. Wish they still had the chance to make the AT-AT.

After eFX finally releases the TIE Fighter I have a hunch that I'll be even more out of the eFX game... There are so many superb and accurate fan made props, helmets and studio scale available out there that I see not much reason to stick up with eFX anymore.

This barely counts but Sideshow is coming out with that 1/6 STAP and they had the 1/4 speederbike. Albeit they're not SS or anything but at least it's something. I pre-ordered the STAP and I hope it's going to be good. There are still soooo many ships that need a SS incarnation. We need a TIE Bomber, TIE Interceptor, A-wing, Lamba-class shuttle, Lars Landspeeder and any of the ships from the prequels. I'd personally loooove to see an ARC-170. We also need another Slave 1 and another TIE Advanced X-1.
