Nick Fury's pistol is a Smith and Wesson M&P and I believe Black Widow was using Glock 30's. btw, the Avengers movie was AWESOME!! :rock

I want an m&p as my next handgun. Right now I've got a used sw9f that I use for plinkin as well as a stevens 320 12ga. I've got a mossberg 500 for the house with a top folding stock I got from the interwebs. I am thinking about getting a remington 887 next. I like shotguns the most.

browsing gun vids on youtube and ran into this on random. pretty interesting for all of us in this thread and hobby, give it a watch and get a reality check.

Can't watch at work, what are the videos about??

~~Do any of you guys that carry get strange looks from your friends/family once they find out?? I told my mom that I carry a gun because I don't believe a rape whistle will be effective.

I might be wrong. But what I am seeing are two videos that show some very poorly prepared CCs in a scenario against a room full of well-prepared cops and TV station personnel during a college classroom invasion in an attempt to show how incompetant CCs are for a TV news story.

Edit - To the second part...in Florida? There are like a million CCs in Florida and you guys don't have a requirement to retreat...it should not surprise ANYONE there.

Edit 2 - I moved to AZ about 9 months ago (though I am currently back in Cali for work). When I mentioned to the higher-ups at the facility I was working at (I am not a direct emplyee, I am a consultant), that I carry concealed, I assured them that I do not take it to work with me there.

They asked me...Why not?

even though most of what you wrote doesnt make any sense, ill respond to the part that does.

How many people that carry concealed do you think actually trains on a consistent basis to handle live situations as safe and effective as possible? i bet you don't even do that.

I don't see why you feel the need to be offended. I don't participate in douchebaggery so there was no offense intended. But if you specify what parts don't make any sense, I will elaborate.

The only part of my message that pertained to your posted videos mostly came straight from the mouth of the newscaster.

And you are mistaken about how much training I have. But I bet we can agree that no matter how much any of us have...more is always good.

Finally watched the videos. Funny that the girl responded better than the "call of duty" guy did. I don't particularly care for James Yeager as a person based off of his history, but since I'm not personally involved with him as a co-worker/friend I believe he has a lot of great information that should be taken seriously.
I practice this drill 2-3 times a week, and try to at least shoot 100-200 rounds at the range every other week.

I thought HK canned the color variants? Guess not, it may be a collectors in the future like the USP variants

Here you go, but it's a CT with the threaded barrel so just picture it without the threaded barrel.

And a plus is that you can use your HK45 mags in the HK45CT.

Okay guys, I'm looking for a revolver and wanted to see if any of you guys have opinions about these 2 guns.

S&W 686 vs Ruger GP100

I picked up the Ruger a few weeks ago. I've only shot it once buy I love it. I shot it very well SA and better than I thought I would DA. I just need more time on it to get used to the trigger pull since everything else I own is SA.

Good to hear, what barrel length do you own? I'm leaning towards a 6"

Love my M&P .40. :rock

I almost purchased a M&P45 with crimson trace for under $600 military price.
