I couldn't care less what other non-MGS fans think. It's sad that they don't know The Boss at all, but they probably feel the same if we don't know some obscure Marvel character.

I am happy that we are getting The Boss and Big Boss (although not exactly the Camo I wanted). It'll do for now, and let's hope for the best on the next release, as the tag 'Sneaking Suit version' on the proto-pics is enough assurance that they are doing another version

So, let's say they do solid snake one day...would snake look exactly like big boss? Even though he's a clone of him, I remember Naomi telling snake in mgs4 that he isn't an exact replica of big boss. How would you guys envision snake?

(no, I don't care how much of a fan you are or even purist....I do not want a 1/6 snake looking like the blocky ps1 graphics. Have it as an accessory...but that SHOULD NOT be the Main head sculpt.)

I want to add something: graphics and art need to be taken into consideration. With each new iteration of MGS, snake AND big boss look slightly different, but still retain certain features that in spite of the graphical bump/leap, you can still tell its snake/big boss. I'm sure if MGS4 were made after peace walker, old snakes model would share similarities with big boss' model...just with a stache and minus the beard.

So I think snake should look exactly like big boss...I just want to know what you guys think.

For me, although I like Shinkawa's art, I'd rather have Solid (or any MGS character) based on an 'in game' model, or 3D render. I wouldn't mind an HT quality figure of Snake looking like this:

Of course his face could also look like young Snake from MGS4.

Maybe somebody can find a pic of MGS4 young Snake with a bandana.

Definitely Gray Fox with electronics. There is enough Snake out there and Medicom did Raiden. In all honesty they should do all 5.

Would like to vote for Gray Fox, but. . .MGS 2 Snake FTW!! Hopefully we'll get both, but MGS 2 Snake is my main want from a Metal Gear line. The fact that characters from various games are shown in that poll gives more evidence to the idea that HT has the entire Metal Gear license

hmm. not sure on this one. think i like the Inflames head sculpt better. the facial hair texture looks odd on this, and i definitely like the cloth Inflames bandanna better. and is there no ankle articulation AGAIN??!

I really dislike the inflames sculpt. And that's a big part of the reason why I never seriously considered buying that figure, though I might do it now for the fatigues/accessories. I really dig this HT sculpt personally.

I take objection to the term ungrateful when Avengers fans can't wait just over a week for Thor & Demand Hulk and more all at once after just getting Nick Fury, Hawkeye and Captain America up for order

After 16 months of waiting some wanted the version they'd been hoping and waiting 16 months for from MGS, that is understandable IMO

All I'll say is this--some of those who are moaning and complaining about the MGS fans are the same people that I've seen whining and complaining about other things at a comparable level. Everybody needs to complain about something, so. . .whatever.

Liquid definitely needs to be more respected since is the best villian to ever grace the series. Ocelot is right there with him, but Liquid had such charisma and style. Liquid Ocelot was horrible.

Hot Toys won't do it since I don't see them even doing MGS1 and if they did they might do Snake and Fox. I expected Play Arts to do Liquid but their already moving past MGS1 with Solidus and MGR Raiden.

You never know. If this line is really popular, then they could pump out all kinds of variants and obscure characters. And considering the popularity of this license in Asia, I think that is a distinct possibility. Look at how HT has treated other popular lines like Iron Man, Predator, and Batman.

Good point, they definitely have a hard on for Iron Man. I wish I was a Iron Man fan since you could of assembled an army with all the things they have pumped out in the last couple years.

I really wish they would take a line like MGS and do each game and finish the line. But I don't see them doing obscure characters like the Fox Hound unit. A 1/6 Vulcan Raven with the F16 Vulcan cannon would be god like.
