... are by the same artist? (Roger Kastel)

Yea, if you have the Rocketeer PF. There is no way around it. You NEED to have that poster hanging behind it. Dang!

I've put off buying that PF forever. Which really is a perversion of justice. I'd whined for so long about the lack of good Rocketeer merch. Then that comes out, and I complain it's too big for my displays.

But one of these days I'm going to break, either when one pops up in the For Sales, or elsewhere. Especially since I hope to get the EB 1/4 BD T800, so the move to larger stuff will be easier.

I have a bunch of posters lining my basement stairs, including a Batman Begins, Dark Knight, and a Shawshank as posted here. But I cannot forget this one:

Is the Akira one cool? I love this anime so much!

Funny you asked about that one, as I have only 3 of my posters in frames and that happens to be one of them aside from the Spider-Man. It's the 2001 American theater release, it's pretty simple, but I like it.

Guyz, question bout the posters, what frames do you guys use if they aren't pre framed already? Like do you grab the plastic ones from target and wal-mart and such or? Looking for abunch of 27x40 for cheap

I just moved to my new place, got double the space for my man cave, but i'm already running out of space :(. Had to make a decision to hang only one poster...

My signed T2 poster.

Would you want to know if the signatures were not authentic?

Just bumped into this one. Hmm!

Yes, hmm, sorry, but I gotta say, that is just not a good-looking poster to me, artistically speaking anyway; the green-yellow colors of the figures are all wrong and just do not belong in the same scene as the overly cool-blue surroundings. And the light sources are too confusing. My opinion, of course... but an educated opinion, as I am in the graphic arts field and do a fair amount of Photoshop artwork finishing in the entertainment industry. :dunno

Well, you can discuss everything from a refined, artistic view. The question remains, is it relevant to cover such aspects.

In this case, I tend to agree with you. There are a lot of factors that would make this piece inferior. But still, it is successful in delivering a message. It's iconic. It fills the viewer with nostalgia.

There are many subjective aspects that come to play, which make this poster a "good" poster.

But you have to take into consideration - who is the viewer, and what makes the person love the piece.
