So, your friend is trying to ruin one of the most incredible thing that Hot Toys has ever made?

if done right, it make it look even better. IMO the shield is a tad too glossy.

I agree with you. Someone did do an outstanding job making their CA sheild look very movie accurate with a more dulled look and gun shot blasts on it. I would have preferred a shiny with the Avengers CA and a dull shield for the TFA CA.

The thuth is that you´ll NEVER be happy with a HT figure.

It´s like a funny hobby in the SS Forum, be the first one to find a flaw - that usually just don´t exist.

It´s the case here, the shield is one of the most beautifil thing ever made by a "toy" company, the first thing that take the attention to ANYONE that watch the figure, but there is always someone that is just sad because it´s too shine and want to make it more "Movie accurate" or some other poor excuse, just to say to other that he had actually something to complain...

What's wrong with someone wanting to make adjustments to a figure he purchased in order to make it look exactly how he wants it to look? Last time i checked, there wasn't a rule that prohibits collectors from customizing their hot toys figures.

I agree with you. But there's nothing wrong with saying what you'd prefer. I'm not complaining. I have the CA:FA. In hindsight, I would have preferred a BD shield instead of a shiny one.

I don't get the argument "it's sad to make something movie accurate"

Isn't that what hot toys is trying to do in the first place in 1/6 scale?

If only all hot toys came with a Bruce Willis heads sculpt...

You know whats funny, if HT had given us the Battle damage sheild, people would stilll be painting it to make it look like the clean sheild :lol

I think HT will get it right next time so I would just wait and see before i customize it

My point EXACTLY.

In Fringe Universe, Hot Toys lauch the First Avenger figure with a Chris Evans alternative Head, a pre-serum alternative full body, the USO uniform, the Show uniform, a full Peggy Carter figure, two versions of the Shield (Shine and BD) and the exclusive version had a full Bucky figure, all for a hundred bucks.

People on Fringe SS board still complained that HT "could give us more acessories for the price we pay".

There were several here that did that mod. I did it as well.
This figure is great straight out of the box. And although the shield is very glossy, Even as stock, it still looks great as its definitely an eye catcher.
For me personally though, I wanted it closer to how I saw it on film and since I've been treading on modding figures, Its not only satisfying adding a little touch to the figure, but at the same time, its very fun.

Here's a repost of my Cap.

Opened mine tonight. Picking up a display case this weekend.
One issue I see is a strap on his belt pouch. Not worth sending back. Suggestions for keeping it down?
