Not to wish ill things on you Rorywan, but I hope you just got an unusual one off. I'm liking your 1st batch pic myself. And, I'm still waiting on mine and expect it won't come as a 1st batcher.

One more request, Rory: could you take a picture of your two Bats in the same pose next to one another so we can see exactly what the differences are in comparison (torso diff, matte cape diff)?

I no longer want my barrel-chested, non-shiny, matte-caped sort-of-looks-like-Keaton figure. I'm only collecting Mattel from now on.

Rory, are you sure you can't just tweek the ab joint back?

Nah, mate. It's solid compared to the first version. It pushes the rubber out a little more. I can't see it being a strange variant, as the entire chest piece feels different behind the rubber. Those pics were me putting both figures in an almost exactly the same position. So I also can't see it being a 'faulty' version, it's structurally different.

As for the other things, these are just most likely variants nondependent
on batch. Just different batches of source fabric and variants in paint app.

Someone here posted that the capes pointed ends/scallops were not the same on their second Bats. Thats also true of mine. Was it Maglor?

I did post the side by side earlier with the chests. I have a couple of pics of the newer cape. Will post in a minute, quite honestly couldn't be arsed to take anymore..

Very likely. And it maybe the one to want as time passes, they obviously changed it for a reason.
One thing I would say though is that Keaton was pretty slim and slight in the suit. So I wouldn't want him bulked up!

Yes, thats what i was saying no biggy, the new one just feels a little bit "blobby" in places.

No the only real difference of note is the chest piece. the rest could just be a change of fabrics or different QC.

I was hoping the scallop post would do it.

Rory, something you may want to check, HT Batman figures have been notorious for having the midsection joint misaligned, it still works, but it pushes the suits out adding bulk, my 2008 Begins and v1 TDK came like this, could be the case here, for some reason it seems to happen more with the Batmans, I can't think of a figure with cloth costuming where I've found this.

That extra texture was one of the things I liked about the cape on shots people have posted up to this point. I guess I should have ordered through Sideshow.

The scallops don't bother me, but I prefer the texture of the cape from the first batch. The seams from batch 1 are cleaner as well (no "bunching" around them).

The material on the cape is different fo show. I like the matieral on the top pic. DAMN. hope i dont get the other one.
