I particularly like the composition of this shot.
I thought it would be praise of one of my pics but I didn't wanna be presumptuous! Cheers. Yeah I like that one, not so much the background but at least theres nothing too distracting there. The pose was cool from that angle, got the full shotgun and torso of figure both in frame. The macro seems to be focussed on the trigger hand slightly blurring the rest but it works.
That's why I said inspiring before, I want to try something like it, I really dig it, opens up new ideas about how to present the figure.
Of course, some of it is the camera and lens, some people can get shots I simply can't because my lens doesn't act the same way. I have trouble getting those gun barrel right up on the lens shots like that with the gun looking good.
Really? I'm surprised if I've got a camera that can do something yours can't. Its actually not even mine originally, its my mums which I've more or less permanently borrowed. A Canon IXUS 80 IS. I use it handheld for every shot so annoyingly many of pics come out slightly blurred and it isn't even apparent till I upload them onto the computer but other shots I get lucky and its steady. And the good ol' macro setting for shots like that where the gun barrel is projecting into the foreground.
Its a dangerous step to take, the path ahead will bring pain to your wallet....but these characters are just oh so nice at this scale...
Well, I assume you have a point and shoot (lens built into the camera), and those lenses are made to do versatile fuctions. I'm working with a DSLR and each lens is designed for a purpose. The only lens I have so far is really more ideal for taking shots of real people, I got it with the intent of shooting weddings. It's actually not the best for shooting these products but it's served me well enough. I want a macro lens at some point, but where that only helps my hobby, just haven't worked it into the budget yet.
I pretty much don't know what I'm talking about with cameras, only the basics of how to use and what feature to avail of for my purpose like the macro. But yeah the lens is built in and projects out like the Predator's spear when you turn it on (ooohh
). Its a tiny pocket camera...and its pink, which people laugh at me for.
Which is why even super pros will tell ya that it's not always about the top of the line equipment, some can achieve effects you'll never get from others.
You won't regret it. This is an instant grail in any collection. I'm still floored by it each and every day.

the only trouble is I have a HT T-1000 and 1/6 Endo so all 3 look nice on the shelf. And Idk how it look with 1/4 scale t-800 next to the lil guys

If i can sell my HT T-800 then i'll get the enterbay one but cant without the funds since i'm coughing up 500 on the 89 Batman & Joker already

The way is see it is that the Enterbay T2 is a must for any T2 fan and is superior to the Hot Toys version (which I do have).
I think Hot Toys will release a BD version which will be yet another step up. So I think if you have a chance of upgrading, then take it.

Unless HT designs a new body and does a fresh sculpt, a BD figure will still fall short of the EB. The 1/4 scale is so good because EB could do a body unique to Arnold's T2 physique and thus all the proportions are right. HT developed a universal T1/T2 body that even in a nude state is too big in the upper body for T2 Arnold so he looks off. If a BD uses that same body it will still look off. The HT portrait needs work too but what really won me in the EB-HT comparison was the body shape, even if the EB portrait was an exact 1/4 duplicate of the HT head I'd still favor the EB over HT, but if a new HT figure were the old body with an exact 1/6 of EB's head, I'd still see it as flawed. Unless you take photos or look at the figures up close, the portrait quality isn't as much a factor as the proportions, HT looks like a pinhead from 10 feet away or 10 inches, EB looks perfect.

I felt the same way too in mind. Just couldn't put it in to words as well as you did! so yeah EB > HT in terms of proportions. HT needs to make a special sculpt of an accurate arnie body to be at ALMOST the same lvl as EB. The only room of improvements I see that HT can do to beat EB is to make sure they add a grey shirt and get rid of the rubber coated body. Sculpted body with realistic paint apps & hole-less elbow joints is the way to go for me. Oh and not to forget to add some puncture holes on the jackets with some burn marks and blood stains to give that mild BD effect. Any more than that would turn it into a full BD version.
