Nice fury! I myself couldn't care less for any Freddy movie after number 2. The remake was better than most of those later films.

enjoy! i would like to buy the set on blu ray but i made a rule "dont buy blu ray if you already have then on dvd" it would cost me a ____ load of money if i did. im happy with the box set i got years ago from US

I have the same rule. I've also found that blu ray is not that great an improvement on older movies. But...I have been buying a lot of blu ray collections to go along with my statues. Quite an added expense of collecting these statues/figures, but I figure if the internet goes down, at least we'll still have movies to watch.

Still waiting on Friday the 13th blu rays (the old ones)

I disagree with that rule.
Some older movies look amazing on bluray. A few examples are Psycho, Alien and Living Dead at Manchester morgue.
I had the original dvd boxset of NOES but it was the UK edition as importing US would cost too much back then. Last week however we had a sale and I bought the bluray set for £18! Bargain for me considering importing parts 1 - 3 only which are the ones I really care about would cost £16 so only £2 extra for the rest.

As your in the US it would cost you $38 plus shipping as price gone back up.

collecting dvds/blu rays and statues/figures is an expense to say the least. i acutally got the Rambo box set which came out in australia last month and i must admit the quality are great!

Yep, same here nekro, if I dig it and they've done some work on improving the picture and sound then I'll get the blu fo sho.

Yup.

People gotta remember that all movies are shot on 32MM film, well mostly all since the 80s. 32MM is higher resolution then blu ray. So if there is a good print out there for a old movie then if done correctly then the movie can look amazing in HD. Its all up to the source material and how its handled. When Fox done the ultimate hunter edition of Predator, they messed it up as they put it through a lot of DNR filters and the dvd ends up looking better all because of how fox handled the release.

My sister reminded me last night of when we first watched the first nightmare.
We got it out on VHS back in the day, and watched it. That night we both decided to sleep in the lounge on the floor back-to-back. We were freaked out.

Oh, sorry, I thought you meant the whole premium format as in the PF = a doll. My bad. Yeah, that doll does look fully sculpted, and I hope it is too...
