"Great," "Timely," and "Sufficient" are incredibly subjective concepts anyhoo.

I agree. Obviously something like "time" can be measured, but varying distances makes is hard to judge whats normal, especially internationally.

I think a 5 star system might be overkill, but on a simple "good, fair, poor" system I think we can handle that.

Something like "communication" should be easier to nail down.

Good-PROMPTLY answered questions, alerted buyer when item was shipped, provided tracking info

Fair-provided adequate transaction details in acceptable manner

Poor-inadequate updates of shipping information, slow to answer questions, did not provide tracking number

Can we sticky a thread in the customs section with every bad/scammer customizer? I know we have a feedback thread but it's not very accurate as has been mentioned and also not very visible. Since customs are such a prominent part of this community, it would be nice to have a list of scammers in there as an added precaution...stickied and locked and only updated by mods.

If someone wanted to start a thread like that I can sticky it. Then the OP or a mod could do updates. Would be best to have the first post be a running list of names.

Prog:

It would seem most appropriate if you initiated this, a thread about scamming customizers.

Hmm thats a lot of pressure. I'm actually not in the custom section very often and don't have that much idea of whats going on. Usually I hear about stuff when other threads are created by those who were scammed and then out of some sense of "things should be better around here" I do some digging to satisfy my curiosity. For example I didn't know Blind Voyeur ran off until just the other day...

Personally I think a thread that calls people out is needed, but should be done by someone under the boards employ so that its not some guy like me randomly blasting people out of spite or whatever.

We do already have all the scammer information (up to a point) in the old feedback thread (I think its the 4th or 5th post).

If no one beats me to it I'll go ahead and start a new one (using that information as a base) in the commerce section and sticky it. Then when needed I can update it with new info... probably just need the occassional PM from members to alert me to when this needs to happen.

That's great GB. I'm not in customs enough and usually don't become aware of situations until they have gotten out of control and threads are started about them.
