Does anybody else think that the STAP design looks a little like Dory, but with a gun/stearing mount on her head?

That is just awesome!

I wondered this as well. But I have convinced myself that the propulsion is an advanced one that does no harm to the rider, but that we simply can not understand at this point in our technological progress.

Well the STAPs don't "fly" in a conventional sense, they must have some kinda anti-grav unit like the AATs or the landspeeder - so if you can suspend disbelief enough to accept that they have that, I guess you could embrace engines that propel the STAP with putting out that kind of heat.

The design flaw that bugs me the most are the Naboo fighters with no room for the astromech droids legs, or the Jedi fighters that only have enough room for the astromechs heads.

I don't mind the price. I think it's quite resonable. Sure you're not getting something as complex as say the Batmobile, but it's a vehicle non the less, not to mention one with a pretty awesome articulated base. I'm still on the fence about this though or to just get the Battle droid 2-pack. I like the STAP but not sure if it has a place in my collection.

Yeah, the prequel fighters/droid issue is much more bothersome to me than the STAP. The STAP wasn't even designed with humans/aliens in mind to ride it, just for a droid, so the engine exhaust/propulsion would be almost a non issue. I also imagine the STAP has some sort of anti-grav or repulsion system that actually holds it up and the engines do the speed/movements, so it wouldn't be as taxing on the droid's body.

Of course, the tv show had Anakin ride one, so it kind of messes with your suspension of disbelief.

People accept IG-88's price but not a STAP AND Battle Droid? Fickle.

Are you serious? Do you realize how much harder and more expensive a figure like IG-88 is to engineer and tool over something like the STAP??

Also, there's this:

IG-88 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Battle Droids.

So, yeah, $175 is a might much to ask for this.

Actually, if they offered the STAP separately for the $115 it might be an easier sell. I assume the Battle Droidis identical to the ones in the 2-pack we already have, right?

may pick up if can fit a jedi on one or greavous ,was hoping he would show up today ...Hey general your late ,no 2nd quarter for him i guess..ANYWAY PREORDER UP NOW for droid stap.

But that is why the STAP is like $100-$115 of the cost... it is less work; but still a one-off item. And I assume the Battle Droids took a similar amount of work to get right as IG-88 but the cost is low because the plan on selling a ____-ton of them :lol

Seeing as how I believe this item will be in stock long enough to go on gift card status for a year or more, I will be waiting to order mine until Dave puts up a link that will get the site some points.
