Okay A) Nam...bite me.

and B) That picture IS pretty funny :)

I like the realism. I actually weaved the straps like the video Nam posted a few pages back. Alternating loops between the vest and the belt.

Anyway, a few hours later and here's a few pics. I gave him a shorter neck from the version 1 Pro body.Looks better with the helmet head IMO.

Okay so...I gotta ask....is it possible to have too much realism? THIS IS A STUPID LEVEL OF REALISM. When you have have weave these microscopic belts in this way with a toothpick and tweezers, this is not fun. I have not had this much frustration with a doll in a very long time. If you have the hands of an eight year old girl, maybe this isn't an issue, but if you have man hands, this is next to impossible and for no good reason. Also there are loose buckles all over the place. I saw the post that they have "future plans" (god forbid they use this same system) but it just looks bad to have all these empty buckles. I am NOT happy. I'm sure I am alone in this opinion

Big THANKS to mrclean08 for posting these instructions
Having dealt with the alternative from Dragon for a few years, using a bunch of crappy plastic tabs that never secure the pouches that keep falling off, I much prefer the more realistic method Sideshow used on the Viper.
Besides, assembling these things, no mater how difficult, is part of the fun of this hobby.

Okay for all of my crying...I FINALLY got the straps weaved and he DOES look amazing. Thanks for the reality check Nam :nana:

Looks great! Another benefit of Sideshow utilizing realism is after dusting and/or should you have to move him, you won't spend hours hunting every nook and cranny for a pouch that popped off.

This figure looks awesome!! But, when I was a kid the ones with dirty boots got melted gunshot wounds!
