Sounds like people who are getting multiple figures or more than one head are noticing some differences.

I know, this was brought up way back in this post. There is a video comparing these two heads in the post below by faststreetsofhongkong as well.

https://sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3895907&postcount=815

I started out not liking this piece, based on my first crappy pics, but frankly, some casts look better than others. Some paint jobs are better than others. I now own one ... and I really like it.

As I had my choice of three different loose heads, my friend broke 4 down (had already sold one head), and I had my choice.

Also, this forum is not the place to belittle people for saying what they have seen or having an opinion. It is forum, so by definition we all discuss.
Everyone has every right to bring up any topic they like.

I didn't say my theory was fact, but it seems strange that some look terrible, and some look amazing. I'm not just talking about different pics taken at different angles by different people, I am talking about in person.

How about apologizing?

I did this one like this on purpose:

Seen the pics, where's the video?

So if you receive a fat head or a skinny head, Hot Toys should make a statement about this and get out a new proper sculpt or a refund to anyone not happy with their figures sculpt.

Thank god I got a 'skinny head'. :yess:

You guys who got the fat head are so boned!!!

Joking. I see a slight difference like before in the photo. I see no difference in the video. That said, some heads do look better than others. Could be a million little reasons why. Look how guyliner changes it?

My humble recommendation: remove the PERS and heat the head with a hairblower so it will revert back to whatever the original shape was.

I did this to mine when I was removing the guyliner. Right after that, got a lot of compliments on my sculpt all of a sudden.

I think the difference is so minute that if this is a widespread problem, and there's no indication that it is, no one could even tell the difference without a sample of the other head next to it.

All of my heads look the same except for minor paint detailing just like any other figure. :dunno

Stshammgod you are the man! Thanks for coming up with the drybrush beard idea. This is my attempt

Some before

Now after drybrushing the beard, I used an old technique of mine in drybrushing to even it out more what do you think. I also tried tweaking the guyliner issue

It's amazing how much just the beard really brings Ford out in the sculpt.

Just got this guy today,
Love it!!!
the whole presentation, the packaging, the multiple layers inside,it makes you feel like you've bought something really special,

Just one little grumble, has anyone else got a creased top layer of card,I'm referring to the one after
you open the box, take out the first card with the map on, then you've a layer of tissue, then there's the layer of card with the figure shape cut out in it,mine has a crease at the top and the bottom of this, it may be the nature of this piece of card as it's very thin at the top and bottom, just curious if anyone elses is like this, lol I'm probably sounding a bit OCD about this but it's just a bit annoying that's all.

This however is one collectable that will NEVER leave my collection

Kindest regards
Tys

Mine also had that. I've seen several videos that also have the crease. I'm sure not all have it, but many do.

Looking good, man, jesus these heads are all very different! the jaw on yours looks completely different to mine?

Is this a custom job or is this how the head (or some of the Hot Toys heads) come brand new?

This looks really good, IMO.

EDIT: Nevermind. Scrolled back a few pages and realized it was a repaint.
