What's the policy of Sideshow about the shiny forehead (i got 2 little shinny stains) and damaged gauntlet (i got a crease/dent on the right gautlet) for foreign buyers?

Apart from that it's a beautiful piece ^^

You should contact them and ask for a replacement.Good luck!

Wow, the new one looks like poo next to the old.

Just got my one, I won't say it's the greatest figure ever (I even think the heasculpt is nothing amazing) but the finish to my suit looks like the OC, and not faded and puffy like in that picture

Somebody did call, and Sideshow are calling it sweat, funny that none of my other figures have it? To be honest I don't know about yours, but I can't see mine unless I hold it up to certain lights, and even then it's a thin line.

(That's what she said)

I've been waiting to bring this up again, but I fully agree that the neck is too long. I have since the first pics came out. Same is true of the original OC. And a lot of guys modified the original OC to have a shorter neck... It looks miles better. I'm not sure about all the finer details, but basically they shortened the internal neck and then cut off the bottom edge of the cowl so that it wouldn't sit too far down on the chest. I think that's basically what they did. Perhaps someone can enlighten us.

I modified my OC 2 ways: reduced the size of the neck adapter by cutting off from the bottom:

And trimming the edge of the cowl:

Now, I probably wouldn't have ever cut the cowl if I hadn't had superglue damage from a botched attempt at relocated the pegs...:slap
But afterwards, I preferred the results. One downside: you are pretty much forced to have him looking down because the gap between the cowl and the suit shows if you crane his neck upwards, but IMO, he looks best looking down so not a huge issue.

I flex payed for the new version and it hasn't arrived yet, so I've yet to decide on how I'm going to display everything or made any decisions on modifications.

Will do that.
Thanks;)

Dinolast,
yeah mine is the same, i really need to look for it to see it but at this price it's a shame.
If SSC is ok to at least replace the gauntlet i'm good.

Yeah, to my eye that looks way more natural.

I didn't realize that it limited articulation in that way though. Is that totally unavoidable?

The neck fr the cowl is fine. He's usually leaning his head forward in the movie so it doesn't seem as long.

Here, look at the proportion measurements between the mouth area and the neck. I took this at NYCC.

You guys are gonna force me to screw up my pose just to take comparison shots aren't you? :lol

Well, you'll have to wait until Wednesday. That's when my replacement boot is scheduled to come so I will need to take him off the shelf then anyway. :D

Pretty much. As soon as you lift his head back, a gap is created between the suit and the cowl...but again, posing him with the head looking up doesn't really appeal to me so I'm ok with it.

That comparison pic looks pretty close IMO

The only difference is that the HT cowl has that flap area at the bottom. Its not that big of a deal to me . I like the figure

The only things I would pick on for figure to real life accuracy would be the gloss of the entire suit, not enough gloss on the gauntlets, cape draping and material (to be addressed by Lforigno's custom) and hey, the damn knee cap position that everyone has.

If the cowl was a bit less matte and more glossy, it could separate the face paint around the eyes from the cowl. I wished they were able to use a separate texture for that area too.

I still prefer this latest Batman figure over all the previous releases.

For me, this figure is in my top 5 out of the 33 figures I own.

I was gonna use some masking tape to remove some of the stuff the rubber suit picks up. I will use the sticky side of the tape and just pat that figure. Could work!

Despite the fact that the rubber and loose ankles make this figure feel like it's a lesser HT figure, quality-wise, I agree that it is really great. The "angry" face and ease of switching out the stock cape for one of lforigno's pushes it ahead of the OC Batman in my book. And this is my favorite movie Batman look, so it's probably going to be on display in my collection as long as I collect these things. I do still anxiously wait to see if Adam will release that awesome Begins sculpt of his, though. That would push this figure even further over the top.

Why all the gloss? It would go away from "real life accuracy"... even shown in your pics. The suit was more matte than gloss. The only thing that was glossy were his gauntlets.

My Photoshop neck mod was not too short after all. You can not have a neck that long wearing a suit and a cape on top of the shoulders.
