I'm trying to enjoy the topics the threads are made for but you manage to derail every one of them w/ incessant whining about re-releases even though you continue to support the lines you whine about. :rotfl

Re: Is anyone else just kind of "over" Hot Toys?

Mark V is an original figure, and aside from Monger the last original in the near future. That's why i'm over Hot Toys Iron Man after the MK V, and in this thread.

Re: Is anyone else just kind of "over" Hot Toys?

Mark 5 = HT IM line = the line you whine about in every thread on this site = the line you dump money into anyway

Thanks for playing. :lecture :lol :exactly: :rotfl

Btw if they announce Monaco Stark you'll buy it so spare us the "I'm done" garbage :lol

Re: Is anyone else just kind of "over" Hot Toys?

Prices are prices, you have to take it or leave it, but I just wish HT wouldn't re-release things they've already done and concentrate on other things.

If prices get too high, people won't buy their products, but as long as people keep buying them, they'll just keep edging the prices up.

I'm definitely contributing to the "not buying"... I have passed up the last 5 or 6 things that I really thought I was absolutely sold on getting. It was the price alone that stopped me. Once the price goes above $200 it just feels absurd to me. $120-$170 was a comfortable range. Oh well, guess I can finally save up for some new furniture. :lol

Re: Is anyone else just kind of "over" Hot Toys?

Hot Toys never claimed any of their recent figures as "limited" to a certain number of product.

Im all for the reissues!! My only question to HT is what took you so long!?

If you look in the commerce section 90% of it is people trying to sell their HT for double retail. Even when things first gets released sometimes. It's a complete joke. Now let's REALLY see who the "true" collectors out there are :lol

Re: Is anyone else just kind of "over" Hot Toys?

I'm not over HT but I'm not lying when I say that some of their latest decisions and releases are making me a bit less interested.

I don't mind that they are milking the IM license, but they could space those figures out a bit more. We get the announcements for the Gantry, Iron Monger, Armor Gallery, new Mk I, Milk War Machine in a very rapid order. It seems they only make Iron Men these days.

Like I said, I don't mind them making them, because it earns them a lot of money which they can use to R&D and make other figures.

It would just be nice if those other figures were of some of their other licenses.

Take Thor, Tron, Captain America, Sucker Punch and Avatar for example. All licenses which have gotten two figures tops while there could be at least one more for them all.
Where are Clu, Loki, Red Skull and Neytiri, for example? :dunno

And worse than that, we have had license announcements for X-Men:FC and Metal Gear Solid long before that, without ever having seen anything.

So I'd say;

HT, give IM a rest for now and give some attention to your other lines. Show us that you care about them as well and people will buy into them. If you stop after just 1 or 2 (strange choiced) figures, you won't get the sales you want.

Re: Is anyone else just kind of "over" Hot Toys?

No rest for the wicked. Proceed with the IM bombardment as scheduled Hot Toys :lecture :exactly:

Oh, and Entity you forgot the SDCC Secret project :lol

Damn... almost a perfect score :( :lol

Don't get me wrong, I hope that the Iron Man fans will get the Whiplash Mech, but it would be nice of HT to throw in some other releases of other licenses in between.

Let's see, off the top of my head HT is also releasing:

2 89 Batman figs
1 OC Batman fig
Another DX Joker
2 SP figs
2 Pred figs (maybe more idk)
1 POTC fig & a teaser for another
Just released RE Alice
etc
etc

I could go on but my point is I don't think they're holding any releases back while they pump out IM figs :huh
