Reading that they took one of the best lines out of ESB just makes me sad. What the hell?
Well someone on a UK forum said he had just checked it and it was still there. If someone in the US could confirm that it is still there and I just need to clean my ears, that would be great.

Y'know, that seems pretty minor and unoffensive, but to me, this is a microcosm of everything that's wrong with Lucas making these changes. It takes something that was originally a bit quaint and memorable that actually helps to explain what was going on (that the monster couldn't digest R2), and turns it into something generic and forgettable. What thought process could have led Lucas to think that this was an improvement??? I just don't understand
Maybe he had to pay royalties to Mark Hamill for ad libbing the line?

If they could've worked in Obi grabbing Anakin's saber a different way, I would've actually preferred the contrast in the sabers at the end. Looks more epic.
