Destroyer from THOR Movie by Sideshow?

As Destroyer is right now I can't see SSC making a 1:2 scale, but depending on how its depicted in the film, if it goes over well amongst the general public I don't see them being opposed to one. Wouldn't be the first time a company bet on a film before the public has seen it.

I agree, I doubt Sideshow would do a 1/2 scale Destroyer. I do see them doing a 1/4" comiquette. I hope they base off the comic version and not the movie interpertation.

I was watching the featurettes on the Thor bluray. About two minutes into Creating Laufey they had a picture of the Destroyer maquette.

The lighting is like a flickering candle. I may actually get this piece now.

Man, if that's the light-up feature(?), can't wait for this beautiful metallic bastard to start shipping!:yess::yess::yess:

wow, I didn't know that thing even lit up. I was looking at some pics of it, and I liked the general sculpt, but that definitely makes it a little sweeter.

Wow that lighting effect would help justify the price tag and make it MUCH more impressive. Still think it's in the wrong scale to be displayed with Thor though.

Someone on statueforum said they did a live chat with sideshow and they confirmed that only the head lights up. The pic I posted is a prototype.

I often wondered why they don't have little videos instead of the 360 rotations. They could also showcase the light up features. I know they do have videos but seperate product videos for all items would be helpful. I know I'd like to see them when spending $300-$2000 on an item. Does the SSC Destroyer really light up like that one.. if so it's cool and seems to be a surprise to most.. a video could have sold more items for them...:)

he looks really good right there, but his paint looks better in that pic. I thought the one at SDCC had a flat grey paint app?

yea, the paint looks metallic on this one. I think a lot of ppl will be dissapointed with the paint on the "real" ones.
