Wow, I never knew that Walrusman's fate was originally much more gruesome!

But the musical # you can forget about once it's done, but everytime Han is on the screen you're reminded of that horrendous change!

The musical #, while crappy, really only replaced a semi crappy one to begin with.

Really.....you choose the musical # over Han as what you would pick as the # 1 change you would like to see :horror

The musical # wouldn't even be # 2 for me:

1. Han shoots first again (Greedo just doesn't shoot, period!)
2. GL never created the PT :lol

That's my 2!

I just find it too jarring to ignore. The Han/Greedo scene, I can just shut my eyes, or go get a drink or something...

I think creating the PT is fine - he just should have handed the director reigns to someone who had actually directed a movie in the past two decades.

Now let's back it up there tiger... I never said that was the #1 thing I'd change; just that it is the most annoying and bothersome one due to how royally it sucks, how "in your face" it is and that it seems to go on forever.

But in terms of changes that need to be undone I'd put them in this order:
1) Vader's Noooo- just ruins a great scene and the emotional climax of the entire series (both PT and OT).
2) Greedo shooting first- Han needs to be cool again, his story arc is definitely messed-up by this.
3) Remove Hayden-Ghost- I hate seeing this ********* in a good movie... he needs to go!
4) Jedi Rocks- This scene just sucks all around and needs to be restored to the original which is not the greatest song ever, but is short and fits well with the rest of the movie.
5) Kenobi's Krayt Dragon call- Sounds awful and needs to go, but I can tune it out if I had to.
6) Lots of miscleneous ones like blinking Ewoks, Dugs in Jabba's palace, etc.

I would more or less agree with this list, though I pretty much hate the new Ewok music at the end of Jedi as well. It'd only be number 6 for me though.

Blinking Ewoks don't bother me at all, but Dugs do.

Boba Fett's voice needs to be cool again too! :)

Agreed!

George loves his decapitations. Actually I just noticed that the wound is not quarterised

It's "cauterize", doctor! ;)

Or better yet, change the tupperware containers (when Luke is talking about going to the academy) into fine china. :rock

I always thought that the milk should be green, if Lucas had the technology it surely would have been. :lecture

I'm finding that by completely and utterly dismissing the OT SE's in their entirety, something that that upcoming blu-ray alterations have finally prompted me to do, I can now enjoy the SW saga in full.

I can appreciate that George had different filmmaking sensibilities in the 90's and 2000's than he did in the 70's and 80's. And I can also appreciate that even if some of those sensibilities don't allow for films as great as the originals I can still enjoy the prequels for what they are.

Just don't paste a completely different mentality into fully completed films from decades past. It doesn't work. If you watch the films in the order of release you can marvel out how the story and visual effects evolved, and greatly appreciate every dramatic step forward. Its a huge part of the charm.

When I watch SW I watch each movie with the backstory it had when it was originally written and filmed. I'll watch AOTC and get into the whole clone thing but every time I watch Empire I'm going to marvel at the bounty hunter with the gravelly voice who's only history is that he's an old school super commando gone bad.

I was watching the ANH SE again last night and I honestly think the Greedo shots first doesn't really change anything about Han's character arc like most claimed.

His silly yelps and antics at the Death Star and garbage chute is really just cheesy and whether he shoots first or not, he still comes of as a guy who pretends to be tough rather than an actual tough guy.

Only in ESB I felt that his character is a lot more serious and cool.

ANH and ROTJ he is just the comic relief.

I somewhat agree. I always felt that if Lucas had originally had Greedo shoot first it would not effect my love for Han at all. What I hate about what lucas did is that he changed it and it looks like crap. He spends all this time to improve the look of the films and updates them and then does this god awful greedo shoot first scene. It looks so bad!

That is one of my problems with the "No" in Jedi. Well first it's not needed but lets say it would somehow improve the scene. Well the way it's done it sounds awful and ruins the scene. Sounds to much like they ripped the "No" from Sith. It's is just badly done.

Don't do it if you can't do it right. Hell better yet don't do it when you did it right in the first place.

Lets say you're right and a million fans are wrong about the character changes, it's still stupid that a bounty hunter missed his target sitting across the small table.

I agree it' a stupid change cause it looks badly done and it is inexcusable to miss at that range but it hardly changed the way I look at Han.

I mean, ANH is a classic but I can't help but winch at a lot of the lines and acting today.
