What about the "kick up" at about 50 seconds? Was that BL?

Bruce Lee vs Sammo Hung - YouTube

Hmmmm... That is a very interesting observation you got there Larry. I am not sure if it is Yuen Wah or Bruce...

I'll probably change my mind later. It's not that it isn't well sculpted, because it is. The attempts made by Bruce at comedy in WOTD didn't help much either, to me they were very much the weaker moments of the film. To have a figure sat there that reminds you of that isn't as good as having one that reminds you of all the kicking butt stuff you love him for.

Bruce means different things for so many different people in different walks of life Roger. For you he was and is about kicking-butt, but for me Bruce was so much more than that - as he was also a man with great depth, a philosopher, a jokester, an artist, a perfectionist, a genius, etc. It is just a matter of personal opinion and preferences and likes - and we all should respect that as that is what makes life so much more interesting and fascinating

I took some photos of my disorganized display case. Enjoy!

I say it again: Insane - but awesome - collection !

Loving those new fly kick Game of Death with DX body pictures !

By the way, in my humble opinion Ahgnus, I think that Kato should not sit in a chair when wearing the black outfit - that little guy in that outfit needs to have a Kato stance !

Hmm, I doubt either body could hold it.
I tried on the RMX body. It doesn't "V" so much :lol More of an "L" I think :D

So you got your copy of the WotD movie now?

I like the way you posed the custom WotD BL figure :D

Hehe... Remember William's (Jim Kelly) memorable lines:

"Man... You come right out of a comic book.... " and "Mr. Han-man !"

That dude had some cool lines in ETD
grin.gif
- though he never got quite up to the real coolness of Bruce though. Though I think he did try (in my opinion that is...) I think he at he in one interview said that the reason why Enter the Dragon was so successful was not only because Bruce was in it - but also giving himself credit for being part of it… (maybe I am wrong…) Hehe…

had coffee with jim in 1992 at a bruce lee convention..really nice guy

Hey cool ! Do you have any photos or memories you want to share with us from that convention - wasn’t it “Tracking the Dragon” convention in London (and Birmingham ?) with George Tan (some what eccentric Bruce Lee historian), Chris “Shaolin Video” Alexis (who sold bootleg copies and dodgy tapes with rare footage), Will Johnson (really nice guy) and Marc Storey (also dodgy in some way…) ?

yeah..said him and bruce used to mess around BTS and ''THAT GUY WAS SO FAST''..were his exact words
yep them guys..got a signed photo but LOST it :( still have all the bootleg vhs in a bag somewhere LOL

no your right..but jim wasnt the first choice for the part..rocky carrington was but backed out..and i belive bruce wanted william smith (any which way you can) for the roper part but that didnt come together either

Oh don't worry, I understand that, we each have our perception of him from the things we've come to know. I admired his athletic prowess and his martial arts skills and don't really know that much more.

His other sides are something I wouldn't mind knowing about which was why I asked about biographies and the like.

Not really,

To me he's a better fighter than he is a clown.

On a better note, my DX GOD is all done, when there's a bit more light, and hopefully sunshine, I'll get round to some pics.

you know WOTD was'nt intended for release in the western part of the world it was done basicly for the asian market(its still bruce's most popular and biggest grossing movie over there) hence the ''comedy didnt crossover too well'' they wernt overly impressed with ETD as they thought bruce had gone too western-ised.
and the US got WOTD after ETD..giving them RETURN OF THE DRAGON!! with most of the comedic scenes removed..
but bruce was basicly playing bruce in that film as he was a bit of a joker in real life.its also linda's fav brucie film

So they removed the comedy & renamed it "Return Of The Dragon". I didn't know that :D

YEP.the states got it in 1974..they also renamed big boss (fists of fury)..and fist of fury became (the chinese connection)..but i still rate WOTD highly as it was bruce's pet project all along..he wrote directed .starred.planned all the fight scenes.and in 1972 was way ahead of his time IMHO
