I actually think that the "painted" head is not really painted, but just a coloured photo.... What do you guys think ?

Arnie stated in the caption of that 'painted up' pic that it was just a paint simulation... just like his paint simulation on the 1:4 Reeve

I can only hope that he posted a pic of that 1:4 sculpt as an indicator to fans that he is also tweaking the 1/6 sculpt. You can imagine the hotheads in the DC section go mental if that sculpt isn't updated to be every bit as good as the 1:4

Yeah, I personally don't like the HT sculpt, I don't see much Reeves in it and for the price tag it's an easy pass for me. If they update it I might bite

Personally I think the EtD sculpt is the best likeness he has done of Bruce at the moment, the picture looks flat because its a mock phtoshop paint up. If it was a picture of the real sculpt painted like the WoTD is... it would look more lifelike and at par with the WoTD likeness

you cant better perfection, but hey Larry great news... you can own BOTH these two sculpts at 1:4 scale... $5000 each!

If the WotD sculpt came as a full 1/4 scale statue/figure, I actually think that $5000 would be a reasonalbe price for it. No jokes. Owning an original Arnie sculpt & being a 1 of 1 piece (I assume). But I don't have a spare $5000 lying around, so

I went with the EB GOD v3 for now since VikingPG has some labor day sale this weekend. Copping it for $300+tax. Perhaps I'll pick up the DX04 later on. There are some store nearby that still has a few of them in stock. And yeah, it's my first BL 1/6 haha

Yeh, i think the rm-x body is a little more pleasing to haveatm. I'll probably pick up dx4 further down the road.

I went on a bL marathon earlier this week and watched few of his films again. So good.

Hmmm...Maybe Ip-Man or Jet Lee will not be that popular and martial arts will be more widely practised around the world than it is now?

Nice, and odd, I would have expected the suit figure to be taller what with wearing cuban heels. I never had mine side by side as my suit figure became the ETD figure when I got the parts.

The likeness on the MIS Bruce is IMO excellent. It's the paint, especially the eyes, that make it look more like a 1/6 rendering of a wax dummy than a 1/6 rendering of an actual living, breathing person. Some people will persistently disagree with this, but that's what I see when I look at it: a very convincing likeness that lacks the Bruce Lee twinkle in the eye.

They seemed to be rushed out just to show fans that Arnie was still doing Bruce. I think he'd intended to do this head for EB before he left.

It was like they saw YJ's and thought 'Arnie's got one like that, quick, let's do some figures and leave EB playing catch up!'.

When I look at it, it's definitely BL. But there is something less interesting with the casual/suit figures. If the hair sculpt was changed, along with the whole figure, to represent WotD, it would have been more popular I think. Even if the paint app quality remained the same

Also, lessen the eye mascara a tad too

Having said all that. Going by pics I've seen, I still think the casual/suit head sculpt is still near the top as far as likeness goes

got to agree..it is one of the best likenesses.let down by a lifeless paint/finish?perhaps a shine in the eyes a touch up on hair..would have made a great WOTD

I thought I'd be the kinda guy who would display "likeness" over "cool". But both my smiley sculpts (EB & HT) are put away My DX is back up on the shelf, displayed together with the BD EB Game figure

I think the DX sculpts are lacking in likeness, & the EB BD Game sculpt is one of the worst, photogenically (it doesn't photograph so well). But that's what I've chosen to represent BL on my shelf

my smiley(well 1 of em) is in jeans and tshirt looks pretty good.and for some reason i prefer the GOD BD to the GOD smile.
each to their own i suppose..still say EB ETD A is the best sculpt..gettingf a BD DX will see what its like hopefully better in hand than the pics

If you like the normal DX head sculpt, I think you will like the BD head sculpt as well

enter the game of fury (LOL)..FIGURE.
FOF pants/shoes..RMX body and DX BD sculpt..the body needs displaying topless but the ole GOD SUIT rolled to the waist isnt for me..so im doing it differently
