Okay I see where Snyder is going with this. He is treating the suit as some sort of Kryptonian uniform or royal garb. You can see that in the bracers and side panel area. I dunno how I feel about it. Visually its designed well, but its still not Superman to me, especially with the details coming out. Cavill really does look like Clark, at least a young one.

From what I understand, the recent legal fighting about rights as to who owns superman resulted in the shuster family owning the red trunks and yellow belt look, as well as the spit curl, and any variation WITHOUT those specifics being owned by DC. Hence the new look in the comics as well as in the movie.

I like it, looks cool to me.

i never understood the fascination with reeve (mind my ignorance, maybe its because i didn't grow up around that time) sure he was a great superman but i always felt (and no disrespects) that he had an old man body physique.

Whtever the opinions on the suit, it certainly looks like people are going to get the action they've been clamoring for.

I guess plain non-textured surfaces look pretty bad in High Definition

Personally I like what I am seeing so far

Cavill looks to have it for me and so far love the look of the new suit!

I am not looking upon this as an extension of the Reeve Supes but a reinvention.

Nolan along with Synder will do a great job I feel sure

I gotta say, when they released the official pic I was a bit disappointed, but these new shots actually make me feel better and better about this film!

I wonder if they'll CGI the cape, or he'll simply "take it off" a la Spawn...
In any case, pretty excited!!! Looking great IMO!!

My only gripe is the basketball texture just like Spidey...
I guess superheroes have the same tailor...

jesus cavill is yoked! not entirely convinced its a muscle suit, but at the same time i'm not entirely convince its NOT a muscle suit. however didnt he state in an interview he was eating up to 5000 calories a day? its believable that a 6' guy can get that much muscle in the time hes had.

Typically there is a muscle suit sewn into the inside of a superhero's suit, even if the actor is jacked. it helps give better and more consistant definition than reguar muscle.

One things for sure,the suit is definitely Snyder's watchmen-like style and was expected.Not a fan of Snyder's style at all so ill take this movie for what it is.
