Seriously though. Anybody spotted these on the east coast yet? Or any land mass for that matter?

Breakages have already happened twice with my NECA figures. Once with a Gears of War figure (pity too, since those actually had great paint jobs despite their elaborate designs) and once with a T-1000. Those incidents, plus the fact that NECA knows now that they can sell out with quality products, and these new Lost Hunter prototypes that will never look the same after production are the reasons why the company really ought to consider making quality a consistent thing.

Came across these at Frank-n-sons today. Got to pick through a few boxes and got my set for $40 out the door. Was also surprised to see the new Freddies for only $12 - good day for me at FnS!

The Hound is a really cool figure when you bust him out, definitely grabbing 1 or 2 more of those..

Reefer, can you post closer up photos of them all. Even if it is through the package. I am primarily looking for photos of Elder's face and just some nice shots of the doggy. Thanks in advance bro! :rock

I'll see if I can in a bit. Gotta bust out the lights and stuff for any halfway decent pics in my house. :lol

On the other end of the spectrum, I couldn't wait for the lights to go out outside... :lol

Here is my new NECA @ Night series...

--> As always, more pictures are located at www.thekingofbelgium.com, specifically here. What do y'all think about these shots?

In other news, tankman, unfortunately my glue job on the Classic Predator doesn't hold up under any sort of stress, so I'm pretty much stuck with his right forearm being extended in every shot. So sad, I guess I will need that replacement after all. :medic

Here's a few. Yeah... both arms broke on my classic. Just snapped like KoBE's. Two thumbs down for that. I do like the bio and colors are better, so might have to try an arm swap or something.

I really love the Elder and hound though, no problems with those guys at all.

Wow both your's and KoBE's P1 Pred's arms broke. Thats not good and has me quite worried. Looks like I may dip mine is hot water when I get him to soften up the plastic before I move his arms too much.

this is bad, i hope qc gets fixed before predator 2 figures come out,
if not i'm through with neca.
.i don't understand that seam line still being on p1's helmet,
the p1 w/ gort bio, doesn't have a seam line across the helmet.

Both arms snapped? Geez! Help us, tankman!

Reefer, you might also consider tweeting this info to NECA or putting it on their fb page

always soak your NECA figures in hot water before testing the joints. as soon as i get mine, i put a pot of water on the stove and let it heat up while i'm taking them out of the package. then i just throw them in and take them out. usually, i'll completely disassemble them and put them back together just to make sure none of the joints are painted over. i've been doing that since the McFarlane days.

Good advice, but how hot do you let the water get? Until it's steaming, or perhaps boiling? I didn't realize that putting them in water would enable you to completely disassemble them. Interesting. Does this mean you can take the heads off and switch them to other bodies as well?

I'm also assuming that the hair dryer trick can work for joints as well, is this correct?

I wild advise NOT putting them in boiling water- that would surely effect the molecular integrity of the plastic and paint, and they may melt. Burning hot water out of a faucet probably won't cause as many problems however.

& yes, the heads on all the neck preds are taken off pretty easily.

hairdryers work too, but hot (not boiling) water is easier and faster in my experience. the water evenly heats everything simultaneously and gets in all the cracks and makes disassembling/reassembling go smoother. the heads are easy to swap without heating them though. just about everything else takes heat and elbow grease to get apart.

as far as how hot the water should get, just keep in mind you're gonna be handling the heated parts. so as hot as you can tolerate and enough to get the plastic soft. i wouldn't try boiling hot.

Arms as well? Is there perhaps a video on youtube somewhere demonstrating how easy it is to remove the heads? I'm just kind of cautious about doing it myself without seeing it demonstrated first.

Sorry, but I'm going to bump these pics to the new page, they took too much effort to be lost in the thread.
