I think it'll be less than Iron Man because it's not as complex and assembly or materials, it's a really big PF basically, Iron Man's armor and trickier and more fragile.

WTF Stan Winston Price Tag > George Lucas Price Tag????

I think he means that since the Iron Man 1:2 was produced in collaboration with Legacy Effects (formerly Stan Winston Studios), who did the effects for the film, it garnered a higher price tag. Much like how the 1/4 scale Mark VI maquette was substantially more than your average pf.

This gives me the feeling that this will hopefully be a little less expensive than the 1:2 IM.

I think they are doing the same trick like they did to Bowen. Bigger but approximately the same price range.

I just heard the CEO of Sideshow on video say that these Legendary pieces will run 1,800.00-2000.00......OUCH!!

Also if you look the Avatar figure is already for sale on the Sideshow website. She's listed for 1,699.00.

If this is right then the price will be close to Cinemaquette. And when I talk about $2000 or more I only think 1:1 never scaled items.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. I've gotta say, if these are just "bigger PFs" I don't see how they're going to be worth nearly $2,000. They're really going to have to step up the quality (and quality control) if they're going to be charging that much. Either way, it's too rich for my blood.

:thud:
Calm pose, intense look and lighted lightsaber give this Maul an amazing presence. He's too big and obviously gonna be too expensive for me but what a piece !

I guess you mean high quality and efficient quality control for all their products ? Because if this new line was to be treated better than smaller and cheaper collectibles Sideshow is releasing, they'd lose lots of costumers, including me.

Well, doesn't it stand to reason that a $2000 item would have better quality than a $300 item though?

Sorry if I might not have been clear. :(
I meant that if, on one hand, all these new LSFs arrive with great paint job and quality etc..., and one the other hand, some PFs and smaller statues or figures still see some paint problems or other issues we sometimes witnessed in the past, collectors who are buying the latest would be upset.

I know it sounds idealistic, but I hope the price difference mostly reflects the size difference (bigger body, bigger clothes, bigger sculpts, bigger packaging materials ...).
I hope the products quality will be the same for all scales and therefore all collectors, whatever their budget may be.

I think I understand what you meant, but realistically you're paying for more than the difference in size when you buy a $2,000 collectible. I don't think it's necessarily reasonable to expect the same level of paintwork on a $300 PF as you might get on a $2,000 statue, but I do certainly agree that they need to improve things across the board.
