No, that was wave 3.
Wave 3 had - Batman (Jump suit variant), Scarecrow, Ra's Al Ghul, Alfred & Commissioner Gordon.
Wave 2 had no Batman, but it did have Superman though. Wave 2 was - Superman, Catwoman, Riddler, Harley Quinn & Nightwing.

I'm sure an Arkham City wave could sell easily without Batman, especially if Catwoman was heading up the wave. Throw in Robin for good measure too and there's really no need for the man himself.

I'm actually hoping to get a full Rogues gallery out of the two Arkham games. I figure if they make an AC series, they'll do another Batman, Harley and Joker along with any new ones. I do hope they only do one Batman, though ... I don't need a Batman with every series. And, no need to remake Bane, Ivy, Scarecrow or Zsasz

There are a bunch of possibilities, though. Two Face, Riddler, Catwoman, and Penguin are almost certainties. I'd like to get a Gordon and Croc from Asylum. After that -- Freeze, Strange, and Robin would be great. Some of the downballot guys if they appear ... Ras, Talia, Black Mask, Mad Hatter, Calendar Man. I think that covers everyone I've heard mentioned connected with the game.

Maybe a Nightwing or Red Hood if they appear in the game ... since Robin appears to be Tim Drake, Grayson and Todd have to be somewhere. Who does that leave? Clayface, Hush, Man-Bat, Alfred ... Oracle, Huntress? Haven't heard of any of those being in the game, though (I think Hush was mentioned in Asylum ... I don't even think any of those others were mentioned). A couple of generic thugs or Gotham Cops wouldn't be bad.

I figure we'd get maybe 3 series max, though -- so, 12-15 figures total.

Don't think so. Just Flashpoint Zoom. Thank goodness really. DCD doesn't know how to handle their exclusives right (freaking raffle drawings :slap )

Yeah, same here. Especially since the Arkham-verse has really cemented itself into one of the most definitive versions of Batman for me - on a level with the animated series even - and that's saying something!
I'd love for us to get a full rogues gallery of figures from the game, or at least as close to full as possible - guess it all depends on who they actually feature in the games.
I just hope DCD continue making them so we can have some uniformity throughout - plus they've done an awesome job with the sculpts and paintjobs so far.
I'm itching to see what they've got in store for AC series 1.

Update: Just found out DCD are making DCU-online figures due for release next year. Puts a bit of my doubt about getting new Arkham City figures to rest now knowing that they're still planning and making action figures.

They could've squeezed a third series of AA out if they wanted to. I was hoping to get a regular Arkham Thug, Crazed Thug, Gordon, and of course, Killer Croc!

With Arkham City we already know of Harley in wave 1, and I'm assuming Batman. I'd imagine a Two-Face and Catwoman. Series 2 I hope gets at least Penguin, Mr. Freeze, and Riddler. A Hugo Strange would be very nice too.

^ Yeah, I imagine that's pretty much the line-up of characters we will get for Arkham City.
With the release of Zsas in AA series 2 I think the chances of getting a Hugo Strange figure are quite high, especially since he seems to be the main protagonist in the game too.
Something tells me they'll save Catwoman for series 2 though rather than have her and Batman together in a wave.

I hope that DC Direct makes series 3 wich includes Killer Croc,Gordon,Grazy thug and Frank Boles.

I highly doubt there's going to be an Arkham Asylum series 3 since they've started on Arkham City figures that are supposedly coming out later this year.
Would have been nice to have a series 3 though. Would love to have had - Killer Croc, Gordon, Regular Blackgate Thug & High Security (Unblockable) Blackgate Thug.

Just heard the news that Play Arts is going to be doing Batman figures and will have prototypes to show at SDCC.
Just done a bit of research into their figures since I wasn't familiar with them and they actualy look very, very nice!
So, with this new news in mind, I'm now left wondering again if DCD are going to continue making AC figures alongside Play Arts or can only one of them have the rights to make AA/AC figures? Will DCD discontinue the AC wave they had planned or keep them coming?
Will the Play Arts figures be better than the DCD offerings and if so are they going to do a full line-up of characters?
:gah: so many questions!! lol
Hopefully SDCC will be able to provide all of the answers over the next few days!

Damn is that Poison Ivy sexy. I thought I would hate the hair but the body is so great I don't really mind her hair flying backwards. Don't know when I'll be able to pick her up (new medical bills plaguing me) but my LCS has one on hold for me.

Yeah Ivy is a great figure Cloud, you're gonna love her. She looks so much better in person too - really nice body sculpt and perfect representation of the game model. The face maybe isn't a 100% likeness to the game but it's pretty damn close. I actually like the hair on the figure too - if you look at the in-game trophy model of Ivy you can see that's where they got the inspiration from. The hair (and infact Ivy's overall pose) is quite clearly the same as the trophy model.

The face isn't too bad, maybe the eyes are a little too wide. I still think her hair looks weird, and will look weird standing next to Harley since Harley's hair isn't sticking straight behind her head as well, but they did such a great job with the vines and leaves all over her body.

I watched Lycanthrope's review, they look so cool standing together. I wouldn't buy armored Batman because I already have series 1 Batman, but I really like how series 2's cape is blowing in front of his leg.

I'm not a big Ivy fan, but she doesn't look too bad. I might pick her up eventually for completion's sake. I only have Bane from series 2 at the moment, but armoured Batman looks cool as well. I'm a bit of a completionist so I'll probably end up with the rest eventually.

I posted reviews too, Cloud. :)

Cause I knew you where a Harley/Ivy fan and said nice things about me when I posted my Series 1 reviews.

Aw, you mentioned me! And I do love boys with accents. I agree 100% that the hair looks like an afro from the front. But she does look pretty good standing next to Harley after all. They did the heights right. I prefer Harley being taller than Ivy but that only seemed to be the case with the animated ones. In the comic AND in Arkham Asylum Ivy was taller than Harley, and on those figures obviously Harley has platforms and Ivy is barefoot. I was afraid they might not measure up since Harley is scaled a little too big for Batman and Joker.

And cute little scenario, too. I'm ace at Harley's voice.
