My guess at SDCC for Joe is

Zartan and his Swamp Skier...and thats it!

Nam,why do you hate Quick Kick so much? I am curious...
He was one of my favorite '85 Joes back in the great days of no responsibility

I liked the figure. Hated the character in the cartoon... HATED him. :lol

I absolutely don't want to see a bare-chested, Pro-based figure until we see what Sideshow has planned for their "new" muscle bodies. So that pretty much negates anything stock SSC. The Lee body would be perfect, but I couldn't justify paying that much money,$150 (exclusive w/tax) for SSC's QK and another $100 for a HT Lee body, for a 1/6 Quick Kick. Even dropping an extra $60 for the hirstute bod seems a little high.

Quick Kick was one of the most killed off joes I had as a kid. There were two kinds of joes: the bad ass joes (Snake eyes, Flint, Roadblock) who always lived and then the ones who died off first (Quick Kick, Tollbooth, Crankcase.) Quick Kick had no good gear and was half naked. He had to go.

lol, that is what I guessed before I read your post...that accent :lol

I agree about the body, but I do welcome an eventual Sideshow version of Quick Kick by 2030 though

Quick Kick was in my top bad ass Joes.(probably because of the popularity of martial arts and having big interest in it as a kid)..and Thats what made Joe so great,so MANY characters to choose from and then to have so Many favorites!

Bottom line, I'd collect even the lesser liked characters in 1:6 scale. Just seeing the lineup of diverse characters armed to the teeth is bad ass. Evilface's Tollbooth is top notch. I am sure a Quick Kick done right would look just as good.

I'd buy just about any Joe...I just HOPE they do not make a Crystal Ball and Raptor :slap

Bazooka would be nice for that non-traditional look.

So would Quick Kick :lol

I'm going to cast the negative vote for those two. I don't want to see a dude in a sports jersey or a bare chested dude. Even though the Joes are a spec ops unit and have carte blanche, I want to see the Joes in military gear. The only Joe in non military gear I wouldn't mind seeing would be Chuckles.

Bazooka and Alpine were a funny duo in the cartoon, but there are so many other "secondary", lesser known Joes that are in military garb that I'd prefer to see before Bazooka in his jersey...Hit and Run, Mudrat, Spearhead, Recondo, Ripcord (arguable, he was featured in the comic, but NOT the cartoon unless I'm mistaken) to name just a few.

My guess at SDCC for Joe is

Zartan and his Swamp Skier...and thats it!

We're definitely getting a Zartan by his silhouette in the Comic Con promos, but I wonder what else / who else we're getting. There seems to be a silhouette of someone wearing a beret in the other Comic Con promo material. Falcon? Dialtone?

The question remains if Zartan remains the sole 1/6 offering. I think we'll see another Joe polystone piece, whether it's a PF, dio, or environment (Baroness PF or Roadblock vs. Cobra Troopers dio), but I'm hoping (probably a fool's hope) that we get at least two 1/6 pre-orders (or at least a pre-order and a reveal).

Quick Kick was in the first batch that Hama killed off as well.

He had his ass handed to him by Storm Shadow.

If I remember correctly, Storm Shadow didn't even break a sweat. One or two panels at the most. :lol

I was wondering when someone would bring him up.

Quick Kick did hand Storm Shadow his ass in the Sunbow Cartoon in Pyramid of Darkness though :)
