At first sight, I'm not a fan the human head. But judging by the reflections on his clothes, the lightning used to take pics seems strong and must have flattened the sculpt (same thing happened to the Arwen statue preview).

However, the vamp face is looking more at the ground when the human face is straighter. It would have worked better if the pillar was higher (just like the Daredevil). You're gonna have to display it at eye-level to be able to capture the menacing look.

By the way, isn't there a mistake for the specs and therefore in the Scale representations tools ?

No, that's how big he is. He's crouched. That's the not the full size of the statue. Just Spike.

They got it wrong. I put him besides Faith and Willow and he is way too small.....

I'm sure SS will fix it...

They should mention it and correct their specs. I highly doubt he's also 16" in Length (I see the jokes coming)
Look at the scale representation. That's misleading to say the least.

I love it!

So many details are just right. The vamp head is sooooo good and the human head is brillant as well. Not sure what makes me think the human head is less accurate somehow. Could be the lightning, but there's something about the eyes that makes them seem less Spike-like than the rest of the human-face. I can't see anything wrong with them, they look right, so I guess the rest of the face is just so great and accurate it makes the eyes look less accurate and great.

I have no money in my account for the deposit, otherwise I would already have ordered. It's so pretty.

But as others have said, it's too bad the vamp head is looking down. I'm sure it looks awesome displayed on a high eye-level shelf, but not everyone have those.

Sue has a point. Unless they're digitally scanned, Sideshow's human likenesses are more miss than hit. The spike/stake thing and the vague likeness OTOH are in keeping with the line's fantasy nature so far. I figure it's some kind of likeness/licensing thing that they haven't gotten any of the releases exactly true to the show or the original actor.

They really f'd up Willow. The best thing about it was the headsculpt and the paintjob blew that.

I'm more then willing to believe that the lighting in the photos isn't doing the human faced version any favors, so I'll reserve judgement until I see more. But yes the increase in price is well out of order imo.

Exclusive ordered. Not really concerned with the human head. The vamp head looks good to me and my lady friend. Already have the premium format for the human head.

Regarding the whedonesque site. I checked out the links and will say that the posters were commenting on an older version of the faith statue. I think the revision looks much stronger in the likeness department.

As far as the outfits the female characters are wearing...........I don't even have an opinion.

Just happy to be getting a good Eliza Dushku likeness. She's very hard to obtain a decent likeness.

Well lets face it anythings better then the first Sideshow 12" figure. Although as shown recently when painted up properly isn't as bad as it first appeared.

Out of the three women produced so far I think Faiths the best. Willow was a great sculpt but the pose was just too skanky for my tastes, and the Buffy had a beautiful throne but imo looked bugger all like her.
