Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

pfftt. That Spidey is PIMP. Waited my whole life for a awesome Spidey. The Mego came close.

Yup, and HT cheaped out and tossed him on a TTA making him tall and roided instead of putting him on a Bruce Lee body which would've made him PERFECT! Plus the worry of the webs rotting. :monkey1

I'm still waiting. Captain Action looks promising for a Silver Age Spidey though. Just hoping the head's a full sculpt and not a half mask.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

Eh, he is a bit tall, but the movie Spidey wasn't Bruce Lee thin. maybe use that body for the reboot Spiderhipster. . . The figure reminds me a lot of Spiderman till McFarlane mangled him.

The CA one looks to be fun!

We musta had similar childhoods cuz the mego is a very nostalgic piece for me and the new HT's is crazy nice. Easily the best Spidey figure ever made imo.

Its gonna be hard to pick which figure will be "best" of 2011. At this rate, given the most recent pieces its gonna be a damn decent year for 1/6 scale collecting.

Don't forget about Captain America, by pictures so far, best figure for me would be between Bats and Cap

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

Probably the best Bruce headsculpt I have ever seen!

I'm unfamiliar with these Toyfairs, Toyhunters have all sold out on their exclusive figures, does that mean there won't be any left at the Ani-Com Hong Kong expo?

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

Soooo awesome. Must. Have.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

Not even close. Superman and Captain America trump it by far.
I agree, but only because this Batman is basically a re-release with a few extra accessories. If I hadn't already had that figure for 3 years, then I would probably agree that it was the best. Because Batman is the best.

Oh yeah, Spidey is a close 4th behind those other guys :D

Seriously though, Spidey has the potential to be my favorite of the bunch, but it all depends on if mine has a wonky face or not.

Re: Batman Begins: Batman/ Bruce Wayne (2011 Toy Fairs Exclusive)

That is my reasoning. The suit is the same mold used on a figure from almost 3 years ago. IF the suit was new, I'm sure it would look better and would get higher marks.

There is going to be enough stock to cover HT's Hong Kong expo's apparently. Now, how many would they ship to the rest of the world is unknown.

Thanks for the heads up Cheunkinmen!

So the cheapest option to get one of these, is to order from SS or just go to one of the fairs and snag one?

(Hot Toys Expo figures tend to be the cheapest option right?)

Never been to a HT expo before (wish I could), but I guess it is the cheapest option, yes. Then second option is SS.

If you can go to hong kong then do it, haha, australia is 1 hour away from hong kong by plane I think ?. But then again, plane tickets, food and this and that would be quite expensive at the end.

The VIP members of toyhunter bought the figure at around $170.
