Hot Toys new Superman teaser... he's coming guys!

Summary of the last 50 pages:

Trolls: HS is all wrong, Arnie Kim is fail.
Nitpickers: Suit colour is not accurate, can see some of Tom Cruise in the sculpt, pity the joints show through the costume, don't like his expression, here's a Photoshop example of how it should look, Erik's HS is so much better, looks good for a custom.
Fans: This looks great, definite buy
Others: Looks great so far, can't wait for official pics.

Oh My God! This is the first time for me to actually witness the so called SSC 'nit-picking' mania that everyone used to refer to on FB. My god! some guys are behaving like as if HT ruined the rest of their lives! It was disgusting when DX04 was first revealed and the 'fans' who wanted the CR Superman began to behave like as if they had been 'cheated'!! When HT had NEVER even hinted or even leaked anywhere that CR was a possibility. The fans bought it on themselves. HT saw lucrativeness in the figure and announced, then the whining 'Where is Superman'. AND NOW that some crappy 'leaks' of the figure is out we have 'Thats not Superman' and more whining in ridiculous proportions!

Damn! and I thought people on other boards and FB used to be sarcastic or exaggerated too much! So many of you guys have just become spoilt rotten... I can bet that if HT release THIS EXACT figure with NO CHANGES all you guys are STILL gonna buy it.

You know, as much as the whining has ONLY JUST BEGUN. I am really happy, cause it's finally here. Grail figure for me. (I'm a Spider-Man fan first, but this is the best Superhero movie of all time IMO, and my 2nd favorite superhero character.) If it looked no better than the latest pics we got i'd be happy. I don't care about colors really, And i think the sculpt from what i've seen so far is 95% there.


I really need to have a Clark though either a HS with this(doubtful) or a stand alone. Lotta $ to be made here if HT wanted to. Lex, Zod, Clark, Jor-el etc.

You should have seen the last thread thats now locked. Some members making up countdown days and minus countdown days for 6 months or so. Up to Christmas was terrible and New Year. It was amusing watching them make asses of themselves. So oblivious to it. I wish they would stop making it so easy for members to slag them for it.

Ok my impressions.
Wait, can I have them based on this ____ty pictures? Not really until good quality official pictures are up, but here it goes.

Body looks incredible, the proportions are so good, the neck is perfect.
To me, the costume is great as well.

As for the HS, I am not an expert big enough to actually evaluate it but looks good to me.

Personally I just want a good Superman figure, Reeve HS is not critical for me, meaning I care more about the overall feel of the figure, (body proportions and clothes, which looks beyond perfect to me, can't stress it enough : )

It looks like Indy is in development hell with the crappy head sculpt, and maybe Spider-Man with his suit/boots. I don't want this to happen to this Superman. I'm all for constructive criticism and for Hot Toys to go back and tweak and improve a headsculpt, but honestly from what I've seen from these crappy pics, it doesn't need it. It's perfect and fine AS is.

It's everything I had hoped for in a Hot Toys Reeve Superman. Leave it as is and get it out there in a few months. If more people bicker, there's a chance they'll try and go back and "fix" things, postponing it. If the haters just shut the ____ up, we might see this IN HAND this summer (August).

A few figures have come out pretty quick in a very short time frame.

I believe T-1000 was three months and the T-800 was 3 (revealed in September, in hand December/January).

I know a few others have as well. Superman is relatively simple, it could happen. It won't if people keep on griping about it but thankfully. there seems to be a minority. I expect Hot Toys to make a ton of these and the preorders for this guy are going to be INSANE. This is going to reel in alot of non-toy collectors and Christopher Reeve fans alike.

If I remember correctly, they showed the "coming this winter" Superman Teaser before Bruce lee was announced. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

I do agree with the later part of this though that this figure will sell out regarless of changes (which I don't think it needs) for both flippers and collectors. Ppl will buy it no matter what b/c it's he best mass produced (and I think bes all around) CR Superman figure made. So I agree with DiFabio's later statement of just bring it already, we'vw waited long enough

Superman is relatively simple, I expect Hot Toys to make a ton of these and the preorders for this guy are going to be INSANE.

I almost hope they don't make a ____ ton of them, just the normal amount. I for some reason don't think this will be the only version. Preorders WILL sell out for sure... EVERYWHERE!
