I mean, the figure was just announced first week of April.

But whatever. Earlier release means we get in-hand pics sooner.

I loved this, regarding Depp / POTC 2 & 3:

“They had to invent a trilogy out of nowhere," he tells EW. "It was plot driven and complicated. I remember talking to [Gore Verbinski] at certain points during production of 2 or 3, and saying: 'I don't really know what this means.' He said, 'Neither do I, but let's just shoot it.' This guy is this guy's dad, and this guy was in love with this broad. It was like, 'What?'" Depp also freely admits that his general lack of interest meant that didn’t even see the finished second or third films—not that it would have helped clear things up.

wow....interesting read....but very expected....I hope this new movie blows the last two out of the water....I enjoyed the last two but it wasn't like I raved about how great of a movie they were...

Im in the minority here but I do prefer Dead Man's Chest to the others in the trilogy, mainly in part to Davy Jones. Such a great POTC villain.

I'm with you there. I think COTBP is a better stand-alone movie but I find DMC to be more watchable in repeat viewings.
