Tankman, I dunno what's gotten into you with all these pictures, but I'm lovin' it! Every one of your posts is GOLD! The P2 prototype is incredible -- much better look at it than we got at Toy Fair -- and the 1/4 P1 is looking more and more amazing.

I think the 1/4 P1 in those studio pics is the prototype, since he's a bit more yellowy and painted than the other pics we've seen. Even so, it's great stuff. I love this look we're getting at NECA's behind the scenes stuff. Even though they're pieces we already know are coming out, getting a multi-angle close-up of these things is really the only update we ever could've asked for. Glad NECA's giving it to us.

That Predator 2 is all kinds of amazing, though. Getting his paintwork done in 1/4 will be the ultimate test; if you guys can pull that off, DAMN! Talk about impressive.

And that is just P2... imagine how amazing the other Lost Hunters are gonna look! I can't wait to see Snake Hunter and Gort!

Anytime, I assume its because the netting they use on protos isn't mass produced like the netting they chose to use. I mean that it wasn't as easy to use and as cheap. Thats just my guess.

Why is it so easy to put accurate netting on a 12 inch prototype but so very difficult to put on double the size.

Because the proto is a single figure with the netting done by hand and very delicately. The 1/4 is a mass-produced figure that has to meet durability standards and be able to be applied effeciently on an assembly line.

And might I add...

Faith restored.
Eye coloring and body coloring look great, must've just been some of the pics. This figure can't arrive soon enough! ARGH!

I like their stuff but for the prise they should look more like this.
for $200? yeah right. i dunno about the praise, but for what we're paying, they're still pretty nice. speaking of which, when are you people gonna make an A3 dog figure so we can finally have one that looks like the movie?

THANK YOU.

By the way, how badass would it be to get one of these 1/4 baddies commissioned? I've been juggling the idea around in my head, since I'll be left with two spare bodies when the set of three arrives. Iono, I'm just thinking about random stuff. Too much Predator excitement to contain these days!

The body sculpt on the P1 is awesome!! And please tell me there's going to be a 1/4 scale P2 ......

Right now it's only a dream but it seems dreams seem to come true a lot these days. P2 is a sculpt I'd change nothing on now that I've had 3 months to look back on it. Lucky for P1 19 incher I did get to improve on it from the 8 incher. Both are really great sculpts and I'm so very glad I got to revisit them 10 years after McFarlane made a total wreck of them. It's good I have 10 more years behind me and now was the best time to get after P1 and P2.

If I may ask, what improvements did you make to the larger P1? I love all of the cool details about stuff like that.

Un-freaking-real! Great new photos, tankman. It's also awesome you were able to make some modifications before they scaled things up. Is the torso sculpt new, by any chance? Looked that way back when we saw the raw shots of the piece. Excellent work, in any case.

I went in on the torso and gave it just a bit more thinness. I had months and months to think about it and really knew it needed to be done. Other then that everything is fine. I feel really good about this being the best Kevin Peter Hall Predator. P2 is every bit as good if not better.

Great pictures man thanks for all the inside info you give us.
