I'm not sure whether the lack of apparent success of the Abigail and Black Widow figures points to an overarching lack of interest in female figures (or 'chicks with guns') generally. IMO those two were bland characters with little more going for them than their cleavage. And their costumes are boring too, not to mention BW's piddling accessories list. Even so, these two consistently go for just above MSRP on ebay.

I'd say the current and upcoming Jill Valentine figures provide a better indication of how well a female figure can sell given a good character and good costume design. My call is that whichever SP females HT release will sell well, not because of the success or otherwise of the movie, but because they'll look kickass on the shelf.

I guess I should comment on Abigail and Black Widow
its the only 2 Hot Toys I own
for the same price there is a lot more stuff with Abigail figure
a LOT more
and for some reason Black Widow is a hesd taller than Abigail
Abigail is the better fig,but not her character
I think if more people loved the character, and if it had been one from a more recent movie
she would have sold better

and a lot of people didn't like the rooted hair on the BW and the fact she came with only 2 guns

I think an accurate head sculpt of Emily Browning would be extra enough for me to throw down my hard earned cash.

But yeah, realistically, Baby Doll would include her sword, sheath, gun and gun holster.

HT could get creative though and include the gattling gun from the Trenches, a replica of the map in the Nazi casing, the flame stones from the dragon and the jet pack from the train sequence

Hopefully!

W/ these extra stuff included, this would really help in the sales of this fgure. :lecture

Not interested in the film at all.
Not interested in the figures at all.
Interested to see what materialises of the licence.

fixed
I could go for those

Don't lose your hope. No cancel word from HT it mean they're working on it :wave

Yeah and for the record, I never heard them canceling a particular license once they got it.:lecture

Even for HOT TOYS . . . there is always a first time for anything . . . including cancellation . . . because they miscalculated/misjudged the license . . . such as . . . WATCHMEN . . . yes . . . I'm still a bit peeved about that, but hey . . . that's my problem.

I doubt we see any figures from this line. Just because HT got the license doesnt mean they have to produce figures from a sub par movie. I would like to see what they could do but i honestly dont see it happening.

I'm still holding out faith that we'll get an Amber.
- She was the only other character other than Baby Doll that was on the teaser.

- I've read an asian member on here say that all the top notch Hot Toys sculptors are Korean and Jamie Chung will be the first Korean they will sculpt. (I think OMG.. but i'm not sure, but they've been right about HT news in the past)

- She'd sell well in Asia regardless of the films performance in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure that poster was just assuming if HT does sculpt Amber that it would be the case.

I don't think they'll cancel any line after they announced it cause they already got that license in the first place w/c mean they already paid it to use its name & its characters.

As far as I know they didn't cancel Watchmen, you see they produced 2 figures from that line and maybe producing those 2 figures was their only plan for that line..who knows?! :cuckoo:

They've never canceled anything announced. Rorschach was never officially announced, just assumed.
