Luke Skywalker may have had no patience before his Jedi training, but all of you sure do! And it’s paid off! We are thrilled to (finally) announce_one of our most anticipated products:_Darth Vader’s original helmet as first seen in Episode IV: A New Hope !_ This replica_was cast from the vintage molds in the Lucasfilm archives, which are believed to be_Rick Baker’s original molds from 1977._ Lucasfilm allowed us to make a direct casting from these molds for our master pattern – this is NOT a digital scan! And this is what makes this a truly_exciting_collectible:_a direct lineage to the original helmet, and thus be as true to the original filming prop possible!

There will be 2 different versions of the Darth Vader Helmet replica to choose from:

Limited Edition
This version will possess all of the qualities of the original prop seen on-screen such as the correct, asymmetric geometry, accurate lenses, metal tusks and metal mouthpiece/chin grills._This version will be a little more 'idealized' for a_slightly more pristine look._The face mask's two-toned black and gunmetal paint pattern will be sprayed on for a more even coating and the dents and scratches found on the original helmet will be_filled-in or removed. As usual, the edition size will be determined by the pre-order, but limited to 1000 pieces worldwide.

Legend Edition
This version will replicate the helmet as it appeared on screen! Perfect for the Star Wars purist (you know who you are)._It will have all of the qualities of the Limited Edition, but the face mask's two-toned black and gunmetal paint pattern will have the film-accurate brush-painted look and will have some of the more identifiable dents and scratches found on the original helmet. The edition size will be limited to only 250 pieces worldwide, thus_making this one of our rarest collectibles.

Can you believe there’s still left over fabric from the_tunics for Season 2 of the original series? During a product meeting last year, Steve Horch gave us this fabric. According to him,_he acquired these_pieces of fabric_many years ago and it was actually being used as a dust cover for garment racks!!!__ What a waste of good memorabilia!

It’s ours now, thanks to Steve, and turned into a unique collectible for you. This set will include the gold of the Command Tunic and the blue of the Science Tunic. (Unfortunately, there was no red fabric left over, probably because they used all of the red material due to_all the "redshirt" crew they killed off . . . just a theory!)

The edition size will be determined by the number that we can make from the small amount of fabric we have.
Revenue generated from this historic Star Trek product will be shared with the Horch family.

On a more serious note . . . . We would like to thank all of you who placed a pre-order for the Celebration V Exclusive Luke Skywalker' s ESB X-wing Helmet,_the ANH TIE Fighter and the Nautilus and have been so patient with us. As we have stated on our website, in addition to_production issues, we have also encountered a labor shortage_since the Chinese New Years holiday._Fortunately, all of the manufacturing issues encountered are easily resolved, but unfortunately, it causes further delays. Rest assured that we are working closely with our vendors to complete the production of these items as soon as possible, without compromise.

yeah, I'm assuming the price will be pretty hefty with that kind of deposit, but at least it's $300 less to worry about when they're ready to ship in a few years

A big thanks to eFX for bringing a replica of this caliber to the fans!
BTW, if your collection does not focus on replica helmets, you might want to consider making an exception in this case.

I'll be the first to agree, we buy these things because we like them. But, I tend to justify paying the prices by looking at the ability of the item to at least hold up the value of the purchase price in case I need fast cash in an emergency. I've gotten alright at gauging Sideshow and Hot Toys, but have nothing to go by on eFX. Does something like this tend to hold up well?

I opted out of my McVader, which had the same edition size as the Legend edition of this, and retailed for $900. The end result was, I made about $300...
You be the judge. This will be a sought after masterpiece.
