I prefer the original to the recast. That recast is just too dark and the eyes are cartoony. For $55 I think they could have done a little better on the color and shading of the mask. I'm kind of surprised because that stock photo of the recast on ebay was really nice looking. That pic must have been of that sellers initial head.

The pupils are fine though, nice and dilated compared to the original. I figure Hot Toys gave the original beady pupils since he was on a Fear Toxin buzz.

I don't know why you would cal the recast's eye's "cartoony", but I can confirm that the head is narrower than the original.

I'll post pics to show that at some point...

I can see what he means by cartoony, and I think that's because the whites of the eyes look much brighter relative to the fabric on the darker version (since the original's mask is painted much lighter). So the contrast makes the eyes look unnaturally bright.

It's weird that the head is narrower, though. The fabric wrinkles and all look exactly the same, so it's clearly just molded from the original - but why would it then be narrower than the original?

it probably shrunk due to poor workmanship

Ebay always has things like that, but if you want to get as close as you can to movie accuracy....DC Direct put out a figure for Rorschach from The Watchmen, and one of the accessories was a 1/6th scale lighter. You might want to take a look at that. =]

Toy Anxiety has them for $1.99 a piece. They have two currently in stock.

Also, since I just stumbled upon this myself here is a link to a seller on eBay who currectly has both the Demon Bats and Scarecrow parts avaialble for sale for decent prices. I just bought the straight jacket and an original Scarecrow head w/noose. Still cheaper than buying the full figure, lol.

Thanks guys!

There's no dimension or life to them, they look like dead eyes. Maybe I'm spoiled by the blood vessels and gloss on most of my 1/6 figures' eyes, I don't know.

It's definitely the same sculpt, no doubt about that. I think it was probably just stretched and mishapen after the casting process, that's all.

Here is my scarecrow with the BR suit and shoes (not shown in picture), a random white shirt and a blue tie from the DID Obama figure.

^^^Wish I had used that suit.

Okay, I can see that.

However, keep in mind that the comparison pic I posted was a close-up flash pic. I'll try and post better in-hand pics soon, as that will give a very different impression. I don't regret buying it at all.

Yep. Same sculpt, just a bit misshapen. However, I like the narrow look.

Did you get it yet from this seller?

Is it definitely the HT Scarecrow stuff? What's with the blue light?

I haven't gotten yet, but when I do I will post pictures to compare. BTW, the head I received didn't seem mishapen at all. I will eventually fix the eys on mine as well (since everyone pointed it out it's really been bugging me.) Oh, what blue light? I don't know what you mean.

All three of these figures are a work in progress, but I thought I would snap some pictures before I dismantled Two Face and Scarecrow:

In this last one, you can see the problem with the TTL suit pretty clearly. The length from the crotch to the waist line is pretty obsurd. I will be looking into having this altered. Actually the pants on my custom Two Face are the same (probably worse). I'm pretty sure that's a TTL suit as well. With tie placement I can hide the waist line, but if alterations go well with Scarecrow I may have the same done with Two Face.

I'll try to post better comparison pics of my two Scarecrow heads tonight or tomorrow. :peace

I was pretty close to pulling the trigger on this set until I saw this...
So there's just all this space there between the body and the crotch of the pants? :dunno That's odd.

I like the TTL 2.0 body, and I wouldn't mind having the bank manager head...maybe I'll just source a suit from somewhere else.
