awesome! thank you.

and for your shelf quandary, try this, i know im getting these. just glass cubes, anywhere from 12 inches to 20 inches high, and you can arrange them anyway you want. these prices are really reasonable too!

i dont like the ikea one because there is always one shelf on the ground, and i couldnt play favorites like that, so im going to have these cubes on a table, or sturdy shelf.

How are IKEA's shipping rates? do they ship big items like the Detolf?

They do ship the detolf shelf. However, the shipping cost is in the hundreds (it would've been $270 for shipping alone if I had tried to have just one sent to me). Don't know why ikea has such unbelievable shipping costs, but it'd be cheaper to just drive to one and pick it up.

Dang!!! closest to me is Tempe. don't think I want it this bad. I would just go with Bisharts option.

I have a brother who lives in baltimore and they have a store there, I should tell him just to buy it for me and buy it a plane ticket for it when he comes to visit. LOL

Hoping the Mark V is smaller, like normal human sized. The MV IV/VI and War Machine being so tall makes sense though and they do appear very tall in the movie.

yeah it makes sense if you think how much boot is under their foot. i think that the mark v could even be taller.

Wow, i could never do that, that's like "renting" figures, because your never really keeping them.
There are some I have no intention of selling, but I find it easy to let go of an Iron Man figure for a newer one as the improvements from one to the next are so vast. I'm also considering selling my Predator 2 (non battle-damaged) figure as three Predators in a collection of just six figures seems like overkill to me.

This is a little off topic, but it has to do with the detolf and the LED's used for the displays posted. I researched it and is ridiculously high for shipping. I guess i'll have to wait or go about finding in alternate route. just the LED light alone would be $22 for the shipping. Man I wished there was an IKEA in my town or at least nearby.

Pity you're in America. Import fees will be nasty for something of that size... unless it can be flat-packed?...

Apart from that you're onto something looking very pro like there.

thank you sir. yes it can be shipped flat EASY!
the guard rail and fence will be stuck into the base once you unpack it. are import fees dictated by size rather than weight?

Thanks for the thumbs up on the displays, guys.

To answer some questions:

1. Yep, they're detolfs (god love ikea)

2. I use the dioder led light strips (4 to a pack), and tape/tuck the wires under the shelving bars. Here's the catch though, you have to cut a space from one of the plastic glass wall joiners so that the wires can actually run out of the shelf from the inside bottom, or you'll have to run them out the hole in the top, which I didn't like the idea of (would leave wires hanging down). You also have to run the wires in/out before you finish building the shelf to make it work. I sorta looked at the shelving and scratched my head for a while before having a go at it. I think it turned out sharp.

rory, when you get a chance would you might posting a close-up or two of how you ran the wires out the back?

Do you have a link for the light strips?

No Problem. I'll get some pics this weekend and stick em' on here. I wonder if there's a better thread though for that? If there isn't, there should be. Be great to share tips/tricks for shelving and lighting these figs.

That's a cool idea. One thread for your shelving and lighting needs.
