Super 8 looks AMAZING!!!

I love me some J.J. movie action. Cloverfield is under-rated (I know he just produced) as well as M:I:3 (my fave of the series). And Star Trek won me over (I HATED all the series's's's)

Agree on all counts.

One of JJ's many strengths is the ability to spot and nurture talent. I thought Matt Reeves did an amazing job on Cloverfield and I was really impressed with Let Me In (though I did not see Let the Right One In so I wasn't preoccupied with comparison).

Super 8 looks like E.T. gone bad, in a good way.:yess:

I really wanted to change my screenname to Jack Shepard (still my all time favorite character of any tv show and maybe even any movies), but I figured tbay at least rhymed with ebayarea a little...

Anyway, I sent you a pm fellow lostie!:yess:

It cracks me up too!

It's funny - I found Jack to run the gamut from extremely annoying to extremely sympathetic and the sum of it IMO is that he is one of the most well rounded characters I've ever seen on a TV show. Despite the fantastic situations on LOST he is realistic and familiar. Ultimately I have tremendous respect for the writing, portrayal and the character himself.
At times I wished the show was less about Jack but even that was calculated so that his eventual growth would have even more impact.

I'm still floored by the show.

Lost really was such a wonderful show, it's a credit to the writing and acting of the show that they could get you to feel sympathetic towards a character you found annoying or maybe weren't emotionally invested in at first. I never could get behind Jin and Sun's storyline for 6 seasons (probably the only storyline that didn't have any emotional resonance for me), but their "realization" scene made me tear up something wicked.

Am I the only lostie that cried during the finale? Just thinking about it is giving me a monkey tear :monkey2

Watching it again - my first time since getting the collection on blu-ray. Watched discs 2 and 3 from season 1, yesterday. Loved the dialogue between Jack and Locke in White Rabbit. Seasons 1, 3, and 4 were my favorites.
 
I'm not reading some of the posts because of spoilers...I'm savoring the last season on DVD.

Anyway I talked to Raymond Ferraro about decal commision for Jacks complete tattoos. We just need five or more people to get it going and lower the price to $12 to 13 bucks. You can find Ray's work on the Comedian smiley decals and Die Hard in the Custom section's first page.
