Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

Great Score on Edward and Freddy, Very Cool looking, I do agree with you on Edwards Head it does'nt look spot on JMO, Great Overall Score

Yeah, I don't think anyone could disagree withat assessment :lol I imagine it was a difficult thing for people working on him to make such a detailed figure and then have to put a funky ass head on it :lol He's definetly a "butter face" :lol

That Freddy is perfect!

Yeah, its a sick f'n figure... metal claws too; definitely could blind you if the masturbation doesn't do it first :1-1:

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

Okay... should be the last new fig for at least a few days :lol

Got this in today, a alternative Old Ben Kenobi sculpt painted by Darkartist81... there's just something about this head I really like. I think the stock head is more accurate, but somehow this one captures the feel of Ben more to me. Anyway a few shots of the figure, then a comp with the stock version.

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

I think that's his brother, Old Ken Kenobi.

I thought having a baby was supposed to slow down your collecting :lol

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

i think it's the eye position on alternate ben that gives him a bit more character. if the ssc version had that it would be perfect. although we would have had to hear tons of "why are his eyes looking sideways, etc, etc,....."

Yeah, but after I defended the dissertation I got a pay bump... so it kind of balanced out in the end :lol However, I've also sold a shat-ton of stuff in the last month and all these recent photos are figures from over a few months.

Ed Scissorhands looks a bit like Kyle Maclachlan to me.

That's a good call... I was kind of thinking Noel Fielding from The Mighty Boosh...

Wanna sell me you old one? :date

I actually was thinking of you as you have loss of Ben Kenobi pains... I'll send you a PM. The figure the head came on is a complete regular edition w/box.

That Freddy is pimp!!

Thanks man :rock

Yeah... the custom paint definitely gives the new one an advantage. The wide eyed Sideshow eyes really hurts the stock head.

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

Really digging that new Old Ben sculpt. Makes me want to get my SS sculpt repainted so I can display him without the hood covering most of his face :lol

Definitely one that looks stellar with a repaint... Small Studios has really dialed in on the sculpt. Don't know if Boot25 ever did one, but I'd love to see his work on it.

I think the SS sculpt looks more like Guiness.

Yeah, I think its definitely more accurate... but there is something about the character of the new sculpt I like a tad better. Could also be the newness. But since I have both heads I can always swap back and forth.

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

Like old ken kenobi looks more real than the original sculpt.

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

Thanks, although I think we're in the minority :lol Stil, I'm happy with him and it gives me one additional display option for Kenobi :rock

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

Got in a big box of custom figures from Elvis1976 today... haven't gotten to take many pics yet, but here are two:

And this is a figure of my Grandfather, based on a picture of him from WWII: Side by side with the original photo. Still a few things to alter on him; but about 90% there :rock

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

Congrats GB, Very Cool Job you are doing to Honor your Grandfather. I see he was in the Armored Division.

Re: Galactiboy's Collection of Terror!!!

Thanks Colossus... its a figure I've wanted to have made for a long time; just never seemed to find the parts. Luckly DiD has made some awesome stuff recently.

And you are right he was in the 70th Tank Battalion (Strike Swiftly) and served in North Africa and Europe.
