I think if you already have the Mark I, II, and II, and if you plan on getting the Mark V and VI, you will need to get the Mark IV. It will look very odd without it.. especially if you display them on their stands.. the missing mark IV will be bugging you.

I agree. Even if you have a budget issue this is not the one to save on. The TS HS is the critical difference that will make it stand out and you will not get it with V or VI. Your regret down the road will cost you more than making a hasty purchase now. Yes the III and III BD may not have gained and even lost value but this one wont!

Did an HDR of the group shot from a different angle.

Great post. Good advice for all that haven't pulled the trigger.

I have been “on the fence” about getting the Mark IV for the longest time now.
I decided to go for the Mark VI (which is on order) as The Mark IV and VI are pretty much the same fig (headsculpts, chest piece and battle damage withstanding) and thought that I would be happy to save some cash and keep the Mark III as my only representation of the red and gold armour with the circular chest piece.
Having seen the fantastic pics on this thread my resolve is crumbling………….

Also I am also planning on getting the Mark V and am started to worry that having the Mark I, II, III, V and VI on my shelf with no Mark IV would start to annoy me. Instead of seeing the figs I have, will I just see the gap where the Mark IV should be?

Do you guys think the suits are different enough to warrant purchasing both?
If I pass will I end up regretting it?

Bob...it's a must my man! :exactly:

I actually can say I think it's the closest thing to perfection in 1/6 out there. I finally took the helmet off of mine last night and it's like a whole other figure. The coolness factor is off the charts man!

Two thoughts....

One, if you aren't completely attached to the III then I might sell that to make room/get some cash for the IV. I don't personally own the III and have only ever seen it at a store but from all the pics here etc, IMO, the IV is FAR superior. I highly doubt you would feel bad about selling it after you have the IV in hand! :wink1:

Two, since you've got the rest, I can't see how you could pass on one more to make a complete set. The completist in me would be going :panic:...even though that's $175 additional dollars crazy!

The other thing to keep in mind is we won't be getting another IM suit until Avenger's or after. Avenger's doesn't even come out until next year! Plenty of time to recover from the additional $175.

wait for the VI, coming to a store near you in about a month

Pfft :pfft:

Chigger58...proudly supporting the IV over the VI since day one! :wink1:

Nah, it's a nice suit, and truthfully I'm still kicking around the idea of getting it (if Alter Ego gets more). IF I get it though, it's definitely going to be after I've committed to getting the V.

For me, I think that one warrants a purchase more than the VI now that I have the IV. Visually it's a better suit IMO. I'm also a proud supporter of the Silver Centurion look from the comics so until that day comes, the V is the closest thing we'll have.

Thought about that, but just not interested in the triangle chest.

I don't mind the triangle, it's the gray that hurts that armor for me.

Regarding your pics, I'm looking forward to seeing them as always man! Us point and shoot blokes have to stick together! :1-1:

Besides, just look at your signature pic if you are ever doubting man. PERFECTION THERE!

I'm in your shoes too, except I got the Mk.IV. It's the Mk.II that's been escaping me here and ebay.

You are in a great position to avoid this. Best get the Mk.IV now while it's still being sold at reasonable prices or you will never be the same...MARK...MY...WORDS!!

Just kidding of course.
By the way, no War Machine love, what's up with that?

:clap :goodpost: :clap
You must be my long lost evil twin, or am I the evil one, aahh whatever.
But the Silver Centurion...YES! Back in the day when he was with the West Coast Avengers. :hi5:

I, however, will be getting the Mk.VI because of nothing more than to complete my set of armors.

Done right that armor could look pretty cool. I wouldnt mind the Iron Patriot either though thats not stark.

Beautiful Photos Maglor! Makes me wish I received my Iron Man yesterday. Sure hope it shows up today. Talk to Troy at Fanboys Collectibles and he's going to put one on hold in case it doesn't and then just put a claim in with UPS. Great Customer Service, but would rather it show up soon.

Thanks. Yes, I'm not working at the moment, this was going to be my last purchase for a while. My first Iron Man. Funny, it seems to be the most jinked purchase. My credit card info was stolen and I wasn't going to be able to use it to pay for this as that's what I use on Paypal. Had to hurry and fix that situation in a hurry. Now UPS has lost it, lol. That's what happens when you want something this bad.
