Just a little freaky
Still no sign of mine arriving . been delayed in the U.K ment to have been delivered on the 7th january . anyone got ideas as to when we (U.K )will get them .. ordered last august through Forbidden Planet ... and will someone PLEASE post a video on youtube .

Don't know if this means anything, but I'm still waiting on something from England that shipped on December 14, and something from Italy that shipped on the 17th. Seems that shipping's a bit jammed up after that blizzard on the U.S. east coast.

Fill a bowl with very hot, but not boiling water and dip the machete blade in for about 30 seconds or so. Get something straight and rigid, like a ruler, and hold the machete blade against the ruler so you know it's straight. Then, just run the machete blade under some really cold water for just a few seconds and the problem should be solved.

The statue is actually far more weathered than you realize by looking at photos....and 10x what the original proto photos showed.
He actually looks quite dirty. There is a thin spread of grime up and down his body, especially on his arm - and even on one knee if you position the hole right!
The hand holding the stone looks cool. But though I can't put my finger on it, the 'bonus' hand that was included just makes the whole thing look so much better - looks like he is about to go for his whip and break out a can of whoop ass
Also, though these statues are enormous on their own, his large base raises him up and makes him just gigantic, even in comparison to other PF's. I didn't like the base and think they should have gone with a piece of bridge instead (which would be no more work than Jack Sparrow's huge base). But I got to admit, sitting on top of a book shelf, the giant solid skull lined base looks pretty damn cool!

I had to make the hard decision of passing on his PF. Not because I don't like it but because I have to be selective of what I can get and the fact I already have ROTLA Indy PF, that was enough for me.
Congrats to all of you who got one. I've seen it in person and it is amazing.....

Is it just me or does the paint on this seem a bit off? The sculpt looks good but everytime I see close up shots of the face it stops me pulling the trigger. I love my Raiders PF but TOD is my favourite Indy film so I hope it looks better in person?

Dude if you love the Raiders PF straight from the factory then you'll probably ____ in your pants when you see this one. That Raiders version was a ____ing mess. Took me nearly a year to get it display-worthy. Probably won't be doing very much to this one.
I'm new to these PF's so you've probably got lots more experience than me.
All I can say is the Crystal Skull PF statue I just picked up looks nothing like the pics on line. It looks amazing in hand.
I'm very pleased with the paint job on the Temple of Doom PF that just arrived.
I think its something to do with the way the polystone reacts to the flash on cameras. It's like it bounces off it and bleaches it in photos. Detailing and texture just disappears.
But even more so than the paint, I love the weathering on the ToD statues - the statue's skin and clothes look grimy and filthy - something that doesn't show up in the pictures at all.
He really looks like he's just came out of the mines....maybe they dropped mine in the dirt by accident before packing
Hello...I'm brand to Sideshow Freaks. I recently picked up the ROTLA Indy Pf, and am awaiting delivery of TOD Indy PF.
I am even more excited to receive this after reading your posts and seeing some of the excellent pics of this piece.
I was collecting Marvel PF's...but now I am very tempted to save up for the KOTCS Indy PF as well.

It's nice to see a fellow Maritimer on the forum. I'm from Nova Scotia as well. I don't know if there is a very large statue collecting community in the province?
The only time I have met others interested in the hobby or "addiction" was at Strange Adventures in Halifax ( awesome comic shop )

No word on a PF LC Indy yet, but it seems possible since they made the rest of them.
It is nice to see a maritimer! I'm from Halifax, but I currently live in the wider HRM. I love Strange Adventures but I wish they'd carry more sideshow and/or hot toys products! I go there to pick up graphic novels mostly!
Have you picked up any of the prop replicas from the Indy movies to display with your statues?
The Ark of the Covenant 1/4 replica looks really nice.
My TOD Indy should arrive by Monday...and I will post some pics so I can get in on the fun.
It would be nice if Strange adventures carried more Sideshow...the last time I was in they had the Bullseye commiquette so maybe they are starting to get into carrying their products.
Would be nice to buy local and avoid customs too.
