Bowen will do just that. SSC hardly ever takes suggestions from their collectors. That's just the way they do business. In the case of this piece, that's very frustrating!:gah:

Yeah...the suggestion of asking for feedback, well that already happens....on this forum :) If they had some dedicated 'community reps' to to organize a better avenue of aggregating all of our feedback, I'm sure they'd be more apt to do this. It's just too hard to follow 200+ page threads.

Everyone forgets the final Marvel approval. Not sure how it works with Bowen, or if he has the same restrictions, but Sideshow has to get everything approved by Marvel.

In other words, its not as simple as "hey what should be different guys?". It would have to go through Marvel most likely for every change...and would be timely and costly. Not to mention the diversity and wide range of opinions on every piece that comes down the line.

Don't forget, collectors are a fickle and whiney bunch. Even if there is a statue that gets universal criticism...it's easier/cheaper to sell what you can and be done with it instead of re-doing it....

I know marvel has final approval of basically any sculpts but SSC shouldn't have even gone in the direction they did as far as Colossus's face is concerned. I have to believe SSC took artistic license with his F'd up face. I totally blame SSC's art dept for messing up his face royally. SSC doesn't get a pass on this.

I love these forums, don't get me wrong, but why would any sideshow rep want to comb through a 200 page thread to find feedback when 70% of the posts seem to be someone saying posting the "exactly icon", or someone posting a meme or whatever gif is currently popular on the web and members derailing every 2 pages. Again l love coming here but how can we expect sideshow to even want to take anything serious with how bats**it some of these threads get. Most of the time if I miss logging on for a few days I end up skimming 4 to 5 pages per thread because someone is just trying to boost their post count. Hulk thread got so bad I wouldn't even stop on a page unless someone posted photos. Just something to think about.

To clarify, I'm not saying I'm perfect either, I have posted a silly thing a time or 2, but as a whole group we shouldn't expect ss to comb our mess looking for mature feedback on their products when most of it is just fluff and useless posts. Just wanted to include myself in the finger pointing.

Hmmm...if you read my post again, you'll see that we're actually both in complete agreement. :) :duff:

Didnt order him...Very happy with mine...He's bigger at 1/4 scale and is wearing the older outfit...Am very happy with it

I have been reading about this topic on and off and there are some very good arguments, theory's and points made but at the end of the day it still comes down to one thing SSC dropped the ball on this sculpt, the only option that I see would be for myself is get the EX Version and repaint the normal head version to look like this

But that is even that's a bit much for me, maybe one day if I have the $$$ and I am bored but it is a Idea. Looking forward to the SSC Colossus PF hopefully in the very near future and the Eric Sosa Colossus by Kotobukiya, already pre-ordered

I'd love a colossus in my collection, but as with my previously stated issues with this piece, Im wondering if the Koto would look good in my collection over this one. I know the scale is off on both, any thoughts from anyone?

EDIT: I didn't catch your comment about repainting the ex head...hmm, that would be easy, just some frisket and silver enamel.
Now my decision is even more clouded! :)

I have one of these on order. Best version of Colossus out there right now, IMO. I always wondered if he was 1/4 scale. Looks pretty close judging from your pics of him with Gambit. Thanks for these!

He stands at 15" and is 1/6th scale, I went and measured my Bowen Colossus and he stands at about 12.3" and is 1/6 scale if not mistaken. I think the Koto and Bowen pieces will complement each other very nice. I agree that the HM Colossus is the best out there to date and Gambit PF do complement each other Great. Lets see if SSC can step up to the plat and hit a home run with the upcoming PF.

Do you mean 1/5 scale for the SSC Colossus comiquette?

I will be very curious to see how SS does a 1/4 scale Colossus. I hope they knock it out of the park. They seem to be focusing on the bigger sized Marvel characters at the moment (Apocalypse, Galactus, etc.) and all in 1/4 scale! Can Colossus be far behind?

I doubt we'll get a 1/4 galactus lol....maybe an "in scale" galactus lol

I was describing the Kotobukiya Colossus that is 15" and 1/6 scale, when I made that statement and that was info from Kotobukiya. If I am not mistaken are all PF's done in 1/4 scale? I have heard rumors end of 2011 maybe 2012 for the Colossus PF to appear but I do not know how much truth is in those rumors
