Considering the attendance numbers at the show were terrible and they sold a small % of their units, I'm thinking we'll be seeing a lot more of these hit the bay at more reasonable prices soon enough.

One can only hope this is true.

And you know this by reading 1 person's blog?

The event ran for a good 24 hours if you consider 2 days it opened for public, and eddie was prolly there for a few hours only.

But I'm glad they did this in tokyo. It would be a total catastrophe and disaster if they did it in HK with the amount of scalpers queuing and fighting for these exclusives :lol

You ever see the phrase "man it's empty around here" or "there aren't very many people here" used to describe SDCC? No? :)

Using the power of extrapolation, a few hours worth of anecdotal evidence is more than enough to get a good feel for the attendance figures. :lecture

the picture from Hot Toys obviously is showing more of a crowd ;) But them letting only group of ppl in at a time may be another reason why the it never get too crowded which might be a good idea considering all those free standing displays and only a handful of Hot Girls :)

Forget the toys, Give me those girls and a few hours and we call it even.:yess:

the dios they had at that event are freakin awesome, thats how to display these things, but with this 2 fig set, not worth the ruckus over them imo.

starting to see the exclusives show up for preorder at some online japanese retailers for much lower than those initial auction prices so won't be long before these are much more readily available. i think eddie was probably right. and i wouldn't be surprised either if some US retailers get a handful also.

i think the HK ones at ToyHunter will definitely sell out, whether to scalpers or genuine fans. But I'm sure the Japanese allocation hasn't.

The price from that Japanese store doesn't include shipping, which is going to be pretty hefty, given that there are two complete figures and their boxes.

Still cheaper than Ebay, but not quite there...

Still too much for me. $350 shipped is something I would be more comfortable with. If I could get the Scarecrow for $200 that would be fine with me but that means I have to be able to sell the Demon Bats for $150.

I'm tempted, but a pre-order direct from Japan with undefined shipping costs makes me hesitate a bit. Would prefer to buy in-hand for a concrete price.

I think both figures look great. Finding them at affordable prices might even convince me to buy TDK figures. It would be nice to finally have a reason to buy a Joker and DX Bats.
