No need to grant permission for anything in this thread, everyone is more than welcome. :huh

I love Hot Toys and hope they keep making amazing figures that make the world smile. More figures from Terminator 1 would be my biggest wish.

In recent times HT have given the world more reason to frown than to smile....

Well, then you guys are more pessimsitic then I could ever be. HT>>>>> All.

I wouldn't agree with that statement either. The berserker thing is the only p!$$er lately IMO. Unless you also count the DX batman issue as recent. Maybe theres been annoyances, innaccuracies or technical issues, with the Iron Man figures that I don't know about, I don't follow those threads. Overall though I've had quite the year with HT what with their Terminator figures and the fervent hope of more to come.

The last three Hot Toys figures I've acquired are the alien, Leonidas and the T-800.
Out of those I only have issues with the alien because of the lack of accuracy. Otherwise, it's all golden.

Hasn't there also been an issue with the Mars Attacks figures? Add that to the faded paint and cracking pegs on the BD IM figures, along with the dribbling Bats and it's a growing concern about QC over at HT.

Oh yeah. And the Iron Man figures still have that colour fading? Thats a serious bummer to that line - I have the first Mark III they did and it has that problem. You'd like to think you could get at least a few years before something like happens but within a year of opening is a major pain in the a$$. Together with the fact that I simply cannot buy everything that was what put me off collecting the Iron Man stuff.

i guess i haven't had most of the figures with notorious QC issues. i don't collect anything from Mars Attacks/Batman/Iron Man and i always hated the Aliens Warrior sculpt so i didn't get it. i do have ED209 but his dome is still perfect. the rubber parts on my Robocop and A3 Dog are in perfect condition too. i'm wondering if most of these issues are normal, or due to the figures not being stored/displayed properly. i'm betting lots of collectors are smokers, or just put their expensive collectibles on a dusty shelf, or pile them up on the floor, etc.

Nope. It seems like a gamble. The rubber deteriorates even in a detolf. As for the IM fading and Batman leakage, both have been reported straight out of the box, so that's not an issue with displaying. Not exactly sure what the issue is with Mars Attacks though, just that there is an issue with the bodies or suits. Needless to say, HT is picking up bigger licenses and pumping out more figures. They'd do better to cut back until they can fix the QC issues and completely rehaul their suckass CS system.
